Overall I really liked this place, I'm a hostel snob and it ticked my requirements. Near to the centre, in a decent enough area. Coffee always available, and the free breakfast was lovely! My only major issue was the staff- after 17 hours of travelling from the UK I had to wait 35mins for the young girl to come to... More

hmm... I have a mixed fillings about the hostel and unfortunately there is more cons than pros. Let start with pros: - 2 minutes walk to T from where you can get anywhere very fast. Ie. today 1h after I left the hostel I was already after security check at the airport, - clean - cannot complain - all is... More

I checked in an hour ago and I have already decided I made a mistake. First, the guy at the check-in was not friendly. Please owner/s, hire friendly people to represent your business! A nice front counter host can make for a lot of forgiveness in other aspects. I stayed at a Hostel in DC a few days ago and... More

Pretty good for the price. Free Wi-Fi, breakfast and luggage storage. The price a night is so cheap compared to any other accommodation in Boston that there's really no room to complain. Simply be advised the beds are noisy and very uncomfortable. So your ability to have a good night sleep is very slim.

Let's start with the slightly disappointing: access is up a few steeper than normal flights of stairs and so may involve some heavy lifting if you have a suitcase etc. The cost of the room, despite what it said on hostelworld.com was actually 10 dollars more because of a tax that hostelworld should have added in but didn't. But that's... More

I stayed here twice, for a total of three nights, at the start and end of a two week trip around the USA. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially considering that due to our flights we arrived late at night both times. Wi-fi works like a charm, breakfast is good. It was the cheapest room we could find in Boston... More

Firstly, the prices for hostels & cheap hotels is quite expensive in the city centre of Boston. Compared to other hostels we have stayed in during our time in the USA this seemed a bit pricey for a dorm room but reasonable for Boston. The reception staff were pleasant and free wifi is available in the lobby areas. Free breakfast... More

In Boston, there isn't a lot of hostels to choose from. Their location is not too far away from downtown Boston (10 minutes walk), and is easy to find from the Metro station. Only concern is that it seems to be in an area where there is a lot of homeless people, so try to avoid the local 7-eleven (they... More

I remembered that was my 1st visit in Boston during the December winter snow. Though i had a bit of difficulty finding the spot , but was relief after short search especially with the 1 degree weather and snow. It was a warm and cozy hostel just like its name "Friend Street" , i had a wonderful days stay ,... More
