parking at this hotel is valet parking in a very overcrowded lot adjacent to the hotel. from 6:30am, the valets start to jockey cars for their guests and the alarms, sometime 2 and 3 at a time go off constantly until about 9:00am. so if you wish to sleep in, never take a room tthet overlooks the parking lot. the... more

The hotel had signs in the elevators advertising the upgrading of rooms but it was hard to tell if this had happened yet. The room I stayed in was functional but drab as was the hotel itself. It is beside a YMCA that it uses for its health club - the street outside is non-descript and the overall location is... more

I picked this hotel because of its location. I assumed that it would be a good business hotel, but I was wrong. I arrived in my room and the toilet was broken. The maintenance staff was very quick to come up and repair it, though. There are no power outlets on the desk. I had to move it to reach... more

Stayed for the marathon. Beautiful hotel with nice rooms. Beware - the hotel is directly across the street from the hospital. I was up all night listening to the beautiful noise of buses, a homeless guy, sirens, and some hospital employee powerwashing the sidewalk in front of the ER at 4:00 a.m.. After the race, we moved to a room... more

I liked the place basically because it was convenient. Just 1 min walk from the New England Train Station on the Orange line. About a 5 min walk from Chinatown with lots of reasonable eating options. Lots of other restaurants on Stuart street. We tried Montien (thai - food was ok but the waitress that served us was terrible. She... more

I got a great deal with Priceline ($50). I lived in Boston for 8 years, so there were no surprises. The hotel is surrounded by the Tufts New England Medical Center and is located between Chinatown, the Theater District and the South End. It's a so-so location for tourists, at best. Several blocks to the T (subway) and no shops... more

i had an interview, and i got an amazing deal staying here, something in the ballpark of $100 a night, i got it because i paid upfront ahead of time (no refund if you cancel) with my credit card. Keep this place in mind if you ever need a quick place, it's right off the T, I mean RIGHT off... more

My experience with this hotel was very positive. I found a great last minute deal on Travelocity, and was more than satisfied with the value I received. While it isn't as centrally located as Copley Square, it is less than a block from a "T" subway station (orange line, New England Medical Center/Tufts), and if you like sightseeing on foot,... more

I was allocated a room on the top(6th floor) which is labelled the honors floor but not sure there was anything special about this floor-maybe the free bottles of water? The furniture in my room was old and mismatched, old style TV that hummed mysteriously-room not large and fairly basic. The location is right by the New England T but the... more

My husband and I stayed at the Doubletree in Boston for two nights at the end of March. We chose it based on other reviews and also because of the price (great value at only US$90 a night) and the location - its walking distance to many attractions and right next door to a T station for more further afield... more
