Recently spent the night at the Ames for a concert at the TD Garden. Location was perfect. Room was a bit small since 4 of us were sharing a room, however we didn't spend much time in it anyway. Very eclectic , clean and modern. Hardwood floors were a nice touch. Staff was extremely friendly. Wish that Ice machine was... More

What an amazing hotel. Perfectly located to see some history and walking distance to tons of great places to eat and do a little shopping. The staff was friendly and they have Molton Brown in the bathroom. Thank you for that. Perfect place to take your honey bunny because the walk in shower is sexy. Wink wink....decor has a modern... really nice clean hotel. we only stayed for one day but i fell in love with the modern decor. not too far from the heart of downtown and other historical sites. would recommend for those who want to experience Boston's surrounding activity but at the same time it's tucked away from that commotion.

This is a smaller botique hotel right across from Faneuil Hall in downtown Boston - great location. The staff was great, the rooms were modern and spacious and I enjoyed the breakfast. While I'd highly recommend this hotel - some people may not like the more "hip" atmosphere and the less warm "museum" style of decor in the guest rooms.... More

I stayed here for one night on either end of a trip abroad that departed from Boston. I had a queen-sized room that came equipped with everything I needed -- mounted flat-screen TV, desk, docking alarm clock, decent-sized bathroom, and free wi-fi that was actually reliable. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the rainfall shower was lovely. Though the room... More

My boyfriend and I just got back from a weekend getaway to the Ames.... This was our second time staying there and decided to upgrade our room to make our stay more special. The first night there, our neighbor decided to throw a party at 3am. It literally sounded like the man was in bed with us. I called downstairs... More

As avid RVers, we don't often stay at hotels but when I do, I always look for something eclectic that stands out from the cookie cutter major hotel type of room and the Ames Boston Hotel did not disappoint. We stayed there overnight for a jaunt into Boston for my birthday and it was awesome! Not only is the hotel... More

The location is good, the bed was very comfortable and the staff was friendly enough but... The comments about the noise and vibration from the "T" are accurate. Public transit was closed due to the winter storm when I arrived in Boston so no problem when I got to the hotel or that night, but early the next morning the... More

Firts of all like the title says the location si great. The building used to be one of the tallest in Boston. Since it was built in the late 1800's there is alot of charm to this hotel like the beautiful marble ans iron staircase. We had the one bedroom suite wich was super spacious with amazing arched windows. The staff was... More

We stayed at the Ames for two nights last weekend as our son was getting married and the wedding took place just across the street at the State room venue. The hotel is a great place to stay,it is a smaller boutique style hotel so you are treated much like a guest and not just a number. The front desk staff were...
