Some friends and I had hotwired hotels in the Boston downtown area a week before we arrived and we got this hotel. We were pleasantly surprised to end up here. Location is extremely convenient as it is located almost next to the subway (20-30 minute ride from Logan airport), and is an easy walk to the North end and the... More

Thank you so much for staying with us & for the kind review, we appreciate it. We're very happy you enjoyed our location, Molton Brown toiletries, fluffy towels, water pressure and our "sexy" showers. We're very sorry the street noise, being right in the center of downtown Boston, affected you negatively during your stay. We appreciate you choosing Ames &... More

Great location - right in the centre of things in Boston. We had a lovely room that was quite spacious and had a massive very comfortable bed. The bathroom was also nice with a great shower and lovely shower gels and shampoos etc. Staff weren't the friendliest but weren't particularly rude either. Would definitely go back.

From check in to check out, one of the best hotels I've stayed in Boston. Was the perfect place for a business/personal stay. The service was phenomenal, its nice to see 5 star customer service still exists. Everyone is so friendly, the rooms are simply done, but comfortable and attractive. The historic building is so beautiful. Great little bar and... More

We came to Boston for the Frozen Four and stayed here for four nights. It is a fantastic place to stay, eat and drink with great people working here. Top notch employees including Derek as bellman and Jake the bartender in King Street Tavern which is the lounge/restaurant attached. I would highly recommend this place!!

Stayed here for 5 days in March and really enjoyed my stay. I had a corner room/suite with good size living room with table and chairs and settee. Large LG TV on the wall and another one on the bedroom wall. The bedroom was around the corner and smallish but good with great wardrobe. Bathroom was fabulous with a generous... More

This hotel was awesome! I booked a deal on Hotwire for a hotel in the financial district and they gave me the Ames boston hotel and I was so glad when I walked into the hotel! My wife and I stayed at the Ames for five days with our baby (4 months) while I was in town for a conference. I chose the hotel because of its central location ON the Freedom Trail, but I wasn't aware as to how ON the trail it was. The Ames stands as a classical looking skyscraper (one the tallest... More

This hotel is downtown located within walking distance of most action. The building itself is a sightseeing spot, which seems one of the oldest buildings in Boston. Hotel feels a bit small, but excel in service and cleanliness. I appreciated especially the fantastic shower and bathroom amenities by Malin+Goetz.
