A stylish comfortable hotel. Service was excellent and any requests were met promptly. Very good central location – can walk almost everywhere. We enjoyed the luxury of the Molton Brown products. Very good shower, hairdryer, coffee maker. You have to ask reception for a coffee maker in your room if you want one. Floor tiles in bedroom mean more noise... More

Great hotel with a fabulous location for visiting the main sites of Boston. Really helpful and welcoming staff. Room was finished to a high spec and provided great views of the harbour and State Street.

Stay here for 2 nights while on a business trip to Boston. Found the room to be nice, clean but very overpriced for the standard. We had dinner in the restaurant on the second night and it was the worst meal I've had in a long time. The waiter was slow and I didn't find it great service. If I... More

Didn't know about this property until I found it online when coming to town on business. Great location close to the airport, Faneuil Hall, Qunicy Market, North End, Central Business District and the TD Garden. Met by friendly and proactive staff at curbside. Front desk staff very professional and attentive. Great bar on the first floor with live entertainment every... More

I only had a one night stay in downtown Boston and the location was great. I chose to take the Hop On Hop Off bus which I could catch from the other side of the street. I had a light dinner in the bar/restaurant and it was a salad. It was delicious and I enjoyed it with a glass of... More

You hear the T (subway) going all night - I cannot for the life of me figure out how you can hear it from the 6th floor, but you do. And it is loud and impossible to sleep through. Sorry, I can't use earplugs and it is just plain ridulous that the hotel thinks they can get away with giving... More

Thank you for staying with us. We're sorry the rumble of the subway bothered you during your stay with us. When our building was built in 1896, the subway wasn't there yet! Rates do tend to fluctuate with the seasons & occupancy with October being the busiest & most expensive month to stay in the city of Boston. We do... More

We had a corner room & paid extra for this & can say the views were worth paying extra, service was very good, amenities were great, location was one of the best in Boston. However there is one very, very big issue here, the noise that is none stop & at no time was I told about this prior to... More

We appreciate the review. While we're about as centrally located in downtown Boston as possible, with that location also comes the sounds of the hustle & bustle of the city. We do our best to minimize the impact of the noise on our guests with earplugs upon request, white noise machines available upon request, & extra thick black out shades... More

Stayed here over Columbus Day weekend and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Hotel staff were very pleasant and attentive. We had 2 rooms - a deluxe suite (which was huge) and a regular king room which our daughters shared. We were on a high floor which based on other reviews was to our advantage. Good location, nice and quiet during the weekend... More

enjoyed my stay at the Ames. The stay was excellent - very helpful with suggestions on restaurants and giving general directions. The rooms were clean and comfortable - especially the bedding!! Location is a huge bonus - we walked everywhere. I noticed a few reviews about noise - that is to be expected as you are right in the city,... More
