5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

My boyfriend and I just spent the weekend at the Ames and what a great experience. The location is superb. We could walk everywhere and the subway was very close as well to hop on for the Red Sox game. The staff were wonderful beginning at check in. Friendly, knowledgeable and very personable. As someone who works in hospitality, I... More

This hotel is a cute boutique hotel. I stayed here a few days after a cruise and was quite pleased with the hotel. I had asked many Bostonians on the cruise about the Ames but no one was familiar with it. It is truly a hidden gem!

I stayed in this hotel with my mum and sister! Absolutely amazing and so central to all the shops and attractions! The decor of the hotel was beautiful! The room was beautiful and no issues with room service or cleanliness There is a subway stop very close and lots of places to eat nearby

The hotel is near of everything : downtown, fanheuil, aquarium and waterfront, td garden... A great localisation. But it is very expensive for the rooms. The suite we had hired was a little room. Beds were ok. The bathroom was nearly as large as the room. People there were delicious. Well a good experience, except that i find it to... More

My favorite hotel in Boston. I love the decor, it's minimalist and chic but still manages to be very cozy and welcoming. Love the glass shower and privacy curtain, which makes the rooms seem much larger. Very comfortable mattress. Breakfasts options are good. Amenities in rooms include: large flat-screen television, mini-fridge with some mini-bar options, large glass shower, large closet.... More

Convenient location made this hotel a great choice. After flying in from Tokyo it was a quick ride on the T to State Street Station and then across the street to the Ames. The check in was smooth and was pleased with the clean modern room. I found the room to be quiet with top class amenities. The location was... More

My boyfriend and I love Boston, especially all of the historical sites, so this hotel right next to the Old State house was perfectly located. I found the staff to be helpful and friendly, especially the gentleman attending the door. The room was very comfortable, and the shower was cool, but I don't recommend it for a family or if... You cannot find a better hotel staff!! From Frances at the front dest to "Derek at the door". We got to the hotel at 7AM,they had a room available and gave it to us. We asked Derek about a breakfast place, after hearing what we were looking for he recommended Archie's in Pi Alley. It was perfect! Derek was just... More

This is the first hotel I've ever stayed where you had to call the desk for ice. Which meant we rarely got it- how inconvenient! We had a room facing the street and it was so noisy! The double bed room was extremely small. The beds were very low to the ground. There was no extra blanket so I could... More

We're very sorry that you found it inconvenient to call for ice. As a smaller hotel, we just don't have the space to put ice machines on all of our floors so our staff will happily deliver it to your room upon request 24 hours a day. We're also sorry you found the room noisy, it is sometimes an unfortunate... More

The views were amazing. That was a big plus for us, coming from out of state. The hotel staff was generous, the restaurant on the bottom floor was delicious (with amazing cocktails). The door man named Timmy was wonderful, loved connecting with other guests and took very good care of our car and luggage. Great location for just about everything!... More
