I had the pleasure of staying at the Ames Hotel on July 30th and it was amazing. The corner room had excellent views of the downtown area as well as a comfortable bed and relaxing bathroom. Service was excellent at check in. The breakfast on my day of check out was also top notch. I look forward to staying here... More

We stayed here in April for a long weekend on a girls trip. We had the suite, which was a good size and modern. Gym was good. Bar was pretty quiet most the time which was a shame. I would of expected this to be busier. Easy access to lots of tourist spots and restaurants.

We stayed for 3 nights in early august based on research on this site and on booking.com. The hotel was around $900 including all the taxes which is a bit pricey considering the amenities. The room is kind of spartan, almost no storage, older type windows, very small room. The hotel itself is smallish, the 2 elevators are tiny, I... More

Great location. Minutes walk from Quincy Market and lots of local historic monuments. Hotel is well presented, modern and clean, but perhaps a *little* cold and un-inviting if you were to be picky. Staff were helpful and had good local knowledge. Minibar prices were off the charts, would have used if they were a bit more reasonable. Unlikely you'd regret... More

The hotel is exceptionally located. The rooms are very pleasant, modern and minimalist though on lower floors you may feel the subway vibrations from beneath the building. At almost $500 a night, you expect some 'wow' elements and this is where we felt the hotel was lacking. With Post-It notes all over the room advertising dinner until 9:30pm we went... More

This hotel is in a fantastic location in the middle of all of the sights on the Freedom Trail. The service can't be beat. In particular, the concierge Charles Curier went above and beyond providing advice and recommendations as well as making reservations. Cant't be beat!

The location CAN NOT be beat----across the street from the Old State House, around the corner from Faneuil Hall, the Freedom Trail is steps away. Older building refurbished which is nice that it was used and not torn down, but the rooms are placed in odd locations and they are small. The decor is dark so don't expect bright lights... More

The Ames Hotel was a welcome change from the typical big box hotel. We first had reservations at another place, but for a tad higher price, my wife found what looked to be a sleek looking, fun place. No overstuffed furniture and dusty carpet there. Our stay was 3 nights in a large, light, bright king room with high arched... More

I stayed in this hotel twice in July: first time I had a regular room and the second time I had a one bedroom suite. Both stays were near perfect. The location, decor and staff were all wonderful. Located on a one way street a block from Faneuil Hall, the hotel has an edgy, urban vibe with regular rooms featuring... More
