Ames Boston Hotel is right in the center of Boston. A glance across the street at the Boston Massacre site and a brief walk to Faneuil Hall and North End. Clean and comfortable. A bit noisy. Not so much from the subway, but from the sirens. I think it may be near a fire station. It was not bothersome, as... More

Stayed at the Ames for 1 night during a break from our New York trip. The hotel is well presented with large, clean rooms. The hotel is perfectly located for all the main attractions Boston has to offer. The only downside for us was the noise at night. I had emailed ahead to request a room on a high floor... More

I recently stayed at the Ames hotel and really liked the room and location. The problem was that this is all there is to like. Basically, there is nothing else there. Breakfast is ad hoc and basic at best and the bar at night is awkwardly empty. They do try and have live music most nights, but there's hardly anyone... More

My wife and I stayed here to celebrate our anniversary. The location obviously can't be beat, but what really blew us away was how fantastic the service was. Everyone we interacted with was so friendly and accommodating. One example of the great service - we had purchased a nice bottle of wine from Federal Wine store (across the street, best... More

This boutique hotel is within close walking distance of everything you might want to see and do in Boston - the location couldn't have been better! The bathroom setup was different but fun, with a great shower. The staff were always really friendly and helpful. Our only issue was housekeeping - our room wasn't done by 3pm each day. After... Excellent option for precruise night. Close to everything and very comfortable furnishings. Front rooms facing rooms to the main street were rather noisy with sirens during the night but easily fixed with earplugs. Got this through Priceline and would stay here again.

For Labor Day weekend, my husband and I visited family in Back Bay but wanted to stay at a smallish, fairly hip hotel in another part of town. Ames caught our eye, and we had a very enjoyable stay. What jumped out at us on their website was the sleek, uncluttered room style. It's not too out-there modern where most... More

I stayed at the Ames Hotel recently when I was in town for a business trip. The place I normally stay was sold out and I opted for the Ames. A beautiful, charming hotel in Boston with beautiful rooms. The service was excellent especially the person (man) that helped me with the Cab in the morning! I also ate room... More

So we really like staying in a boutique hotel. This hotel is close to everything. The trolleys are right outseide your door and the frredom walk is as well. The harbor is just a few blocks down. I heard the noise was a problem, but we stayed on the 9th floor with a beautful view of Court Street and the... More

The hotel was nice to look at... Trendy decorations and clean, sleek lines all around. The room was comfortable....except the bathroom. The shower was surrounded by glass, which created a see-through bathroom experience. Yes, the full bathroom, including the toilet could be seen from the bed. There was a sheer curtain that provided no modesty, and was controlled from the... More

Thank you so much for staying with us. We're sorry you didn't enjoy our "sexy showers", but we do have rooms without them available upon request. We hope we're better able to accommodate you on your next stay! More
