4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

I booked this hotel for two nights through as a hotwire mystery hotel. On booking, despite being quite familiar with Boston, I was unaware of it. However, on the whole the experience was really positive. First, the location is really good- about 50m from State subway stop, thus three stops from Logan airport on the blue line, about 150m from... More

Great hotel - the location is ideal and the accommodations are very clean and modern. We had an issue with our safe not working and it was replaced very quickly. Extra pillows were no problem - everyone was so friendly. Parking was atrocious ($42/night) but when you're in downtown Boston I guess that is to be expected.

We loved our stay at the Ames Hotel located in the heart of the historic district. The desk staff was courteous and helpful and our room was terrific. We particularly enjoyed the two "door men" Drake and Derek. They could not have been more friendly, cheerful and helpful. If you're looking for a great location near "old" Boston, give this... More

My true rating is 4.5 stars, however that is not an option above. It should be! Perfect location, LOVELY suite (we upgraded from a standard room, and it was SO worth it). The suite had floor to ceiling windows, overlooking the city streets. It was a beautiful view and enabled us to see the city moves from the comfort of... More

The ames is very well positioned in the centre of Boston. The interior is clean and very tastefull. The rooms are great but lacking some special thing like ammenities in the bathroom (only soap, shampoo an shower gel).

In combination w/ being centrally located in the Downtown Boston area, the staff here was very friendly, informative, and accommodating from start to finish. I had the pleasure of speaking w/ Jay (front desk) and Lorenzo (front desk). Jay helped my girlfriend and I plan what we'd be doing for the first 2 nights. He also told us about some... More

Stayed here for my birthday and really enjoyed this hotel. One of the nicest rooms I've ever stayed at. Very clean and comfortable room for a couple. Right behind the Olde State House along the Freedom Trail...the bar downstairs is very nice and the bartender was very pleasant. Highly recommend this hotel!

The Boston has lots to offer, one it being the Ames! The hotel is lovely renovated with taste of modern decoration, design and has reserved its historical theme. The hotel location is fine. It is located in heart of financial district of Boston, near to Aquarium and a walkable (25 min) distance to museum of science. Them metro of Boston... More

Charming, historic, central...beautiful suites on the 3rd floor--highly recommend booking one of these rooms. Gym is new but small. Views of activity on the street. Close to everything wonderful in Boston (Financial District,Fanuel Hall, North End, historic sites). Old marble stairs are beautiful..and a great work out versus the elevator. The staff are accommodating and considerate--happy people. Derek, at the... More

Stayed for 5 nights with work. Was extremely pleased I chose this hotel. It's a 30 second walk from my company's HQ in Boston. Got a great rate through Booking.com. Doormen and front desk staff were very friendly. Requested a quiet room and was given the top floor which despite having small windows was perfect. Room very clean and nice... More
