The Gilded Lily is perfectly located for a trip to Boston, close to the subway system and within walking distance of many attractions such as The Huntington Theatre, Symphony Hall and Newberry Street. It is very comfortable and very clean. Indeed, except that there was no new paint smell, I'd almost swear it had been repainted for our visit. However,... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Gilded Lily. It was serene and lovely to stay in an apartment-like setting in a brownstone. Everything was in walking distance. The breakfast could have been more impressive, but everything else was perfect. More

What a fantastic little B&B, surrounded by residential Boston, located well within a reasonable walking distance to downtown. Coffee shops and picturesque parks, old buildings and general New England charm jump out at you on every corner. The rooms are clean, well-furnished (with New England charm) and are currently home to my wife and I for the next few chilly... More

Had a wonderful time in this lovely brownstone b&b. There is so much attention to detail and the value is just amazing. Spacious, comfortable, good location and helpful amenities. Couldn't ask for a better experience. Will definitely return! More

My partner and I stayed in Parlor Room 2 this past weekend on a pleasure trip to Boston. We selected The Gilded Lily as our home away from home based upon a good amount of research, including reading through the reviews on tripadvisor. Our experience was outstanding. This is a beautiful and wonderfully appointed property in the lovely South End... More

Our first trip to Boston was a complete delight! The Gilded Lily is a beautiful home and with very well appointed guest rooms. We loved the privacy of the continental self-serve breakfast! The "T" was an easy few minutes walk through the park. Several nice restaurants nearby and the Prudential Center about a 5 or so minute walk from the... More

Our trip to Boston was perfect because we woke up every morning in the best room in town. The room was very beautifully furnished and it was spotlessly clean, with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom had an excellent shower and we loved being able to help ourselves to breakfast in the morning. The location was just right too -... More

I needed a place close to the Hynes Convention Center and didn't care for the price and/or reviews of many of the hotels. I stumbled upon the Gilded Lily with all of it's great reviews and amazing price. What a gem! The reviews were all right. This is a 5 star b&b! The rooms are beautiful and very well kept.... More

One of the benefits of B&Bs is the opportunity to capture a "life in CITY" point of view that can't be matched in a chain hotel, where "the sameness of things" is reliable and predictable. The Gilded Lily is what I imagine a Bostonian experience to be. I stayed in the Parlour Room on the third floor, overlooking South Boston... More

My husband and I felt like we were walking into authentic Boston as we strolled through the park, down the street and up the steep stairs that lead to the front door of the Gilded Lily. We spent the first 2 nights in a Parlor Room - very spacious, squeaky clean and we could prepare our own breakfast before heading... More
