I stayed in the Constitution Inn for one night and woke up with bite marks all over my body. The hotel confirmed they had bed bugs. The bugs hitch-hiked home with me and now I owe $750 to an exterminator, which the hotel would not even consider helping out with. more

Stayed here with my teenage son for a couple of days while the tall ships were in town. It's a nice walk from the hotel to the ferry that goes to Long Wharf (and the T), which was a pleasant start for our touring days (could be less so in winter). The hotel was quiet, well equipped, and all the... more

I was amazed at how poor the accomodations were for the price of this hotel. We live on the South Shore of Boston and were in town for one evening for a wedding. The night staff were a bit unprofessional (very jokey and loudly horsing around with each other), but I was ready to dismiss that since I really just... more

We chose Constitution Inn based on reviews from Trip Advisor and were not disappointed. It is a no frills hotel for sure but the staff was helpful and friendly. If you don't mind a bit of a walk (20-30 min) you can easily get to the market place and Faniel Hall. Or, take the ferry (a 5 minute walk). We... more

The Constitution Inn is in the Charlestown Navy Yard section of Boston. It is a quiet area to stay and easily accessible to the city by the ferry to Long Wharf. The USS Constitution and Museum are in easy walking distance as are the 24 hour store (great staff) and some eatting options. So overall a nice area to be... more

The Constitution Inn is part of the YMCA. The "inn" rooms are on the 6th floor of the building and longer term residents live on the floors below (the residents we met were all very nice). The room was ridiculously overpriced. The room was small, dark, and depressing. The bed was uncomfortably soft, and the threadbare comforter was stained and... more

Good value, good facilities (eg large YMCA pool/gym ), helpful and friendly staff. Our room on the 6th floor was plain but comfortable - the a/c didn't seem to function but this was no problem in April. Good for access to Boston - a free shuttle bus to the 'T' at North Station and a regular ferry (only $1.70) from... more

What a great place. The service was great, the staff was very helpful and our stay all together was wonderful. We really loved being able to use the gym and pool while staying at the inn. Our location was perfect for touring the city and the greater Boston area. The room was perfect for our family, plus there was a... more

Other reviewers have commented on the location of the hotel. Several have mentioned the "free" shuttle nearby. This shuttle is run by and paid for by Mass General Hospital (Partners Healthcare). MGH has medical research facilities in and around the Navy Yard. This bus is intended for the employees ... to take them to public transportation and back the the... more

My husband and I discovered the Constitution Inn several years ago and do not stay any where else when we go to Boston - which is usually several times a year . This past August we stayed there with 6 other family members and as always the Constitution Inn did not disappoint . The people that work there are always... more
