When you walk in there are stairs and no elevator. 2 floors. There is no oven. 2 eyes on the stove (if that's how you spell "eye" for a stove). There is no hot water until you officially check in (I came in at 12 am). Parking is terrible. The blanket on the bed is thin but you can gage... More

We stayed 9 nights which set us back 2800$ - not exactly a budget stay, so we had certain expectations. We did like the great location, the charming building and our room a lot. It was like having a cozy home away from home since we were given the keys and could come and go as we pleased without passing... More

Here are a few pics, 1.) condom wrapper under the bed I discovered after dropping my pen on the floor .. 2.) the worn out sheets that don't even fit... More

The location is great - a typical old-style brick residence in Back Bay, close to Newbury and Boylston Street shops and restaurants as well as supermarkets, easy walking to a few green MBTA stops in Back Bay... a great place also to walk to the Boston Public Garden and Boston Common. There was free wifi and cable TV. The staff:... More

We were staying a really great hotel, but needed another night, so we decided to go online for one closer to Downtown Boston so we could be ready for an early flight out. The place was advertised online as "comfortable, fashionable rooms, with private kitchens and baths. It showed in a slideshow rooms with a sitting area, couch and beds,... More

Slow wifi, unhelpful staff, room with a bad odour, noisy guests outside the room on a couple of nights. Not a place I'll be returning to anytime soon. The only plus to the venuie is it's excellent location.

Free wifi that works all the time, 1200 plus tv channels with an easy remote to change channels, Great location near parks, Fenway park (walk to it), shops, food and transport. Staff are very helpful arriving, during and leaving. Nice looking old building with matching rooms that have all you need but no kettle, only one spoon, two cups and... More

I chose this place for 2 reasons 1. It was in Back Bay area 2. It was cheapest hotel I could find. and was very happpy with my decision. Place is very easy to get to on the T or use the Back Bay Shuttle bus from the airport which drops you just a few blocks away. I had a... More

We spent two nights here. The house is a beautiful old building. We were on the top floor up four flights of stairs which didn't bother us. The Internet didn't work in our room and no one was able to fix it so we had to use it in the lobby. Basic no frills room in a beautiful suburb with... More

Staying in Back Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
