Stayed here for four nights with our son, daughter and son-in-law. This is a beautiful brown-stone building on a wide, tree-lined street. All three rooms were very small, but did have en-suites and kitchenettes. The kitchenettes were poorly equipped with a mis-mash of stuff. Only white venetian blinds at the windows so take an eye mask to help you sleep... more
My wife and I stayed at the Commonwealth Court Guest House last week and had a great time! On top of being located right in the heart of the city, the accomodation was terrifiic! The room was clean and charming and the staff was quite friendly. The rate was also great for Boston, $105 a night in the best part... more
The only good thing about this place is the location. And it's cheap. But the room was unclean and disgusting, esp. the shower and toilet. Under the bed there was litter and dust, including a tissue with blood on it. My girlfriend put towels down to lie on so as not to come in contact with the sheets. Everything about... more
The Commonwealth Court Guest House is in a quaint brownstone placed in the affluent Back Bay area of Boston. Our room was small, but comfortable, with an older style kitchenette and ensuite. There were nice views of the Christmas lights in the street below. We liked the proximity to the major sights in Boston, as well as some great local... more
Take your business elsewhere. I made arrangements for myself, husband and daughter by email and phone. When I called, I always got the machine. When I finally made a reservation, they sent me a confirmation notice by fax that said that if I wanted to cancel or change the reservation, they would charge me a full night stay. When I... more
Having never stayed in a guest house before, we unsure as to what to expect. We couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised by Commonwealth Court. Our reception was friendly, the room looked brand new, was very nicely and comfortably furnished, and came with everything we could possibly want: armchairs, cable tv, great bathroom and kitchenette. The guesthouse itself is in... more
My husband and myself stayed at the Commonwealth Court Guest House last July and we had a wonderful experience there! It is a charming little place, the room was very clean, and the location was without doubt, the best in the city!It was right around the corner from Newbury St. and you could walk to everywhere in the city from... more
The location and price make up for the relative shabbiness of the place. Stayed for week in March while visiting friends. Located on Comm Ave and convienent to everything it was perfect. My room had a view of the street and since I was simply using it as a place to rest my head in between wandering the city and... more
Just got back from Boston which was great. Unfortunately took the budget option of the Commonwealth court hotel. Worst room I have ever been in - and could not swap. Had a room with the smallest windows in Boston - one of which would not open. The air conditioning did not work, the TV was an antique, the room smelt... more
