We recently visited Boston and stayed here based on reviewers comments. A mistake. A number of reviewers said they felt safe walking between the subway and the hotel. We didn't. During the day, the walk was do-able but still not particularly comfortable—you remained observant as you walked--but there is no way we would have walked back in the evening; we... more

Our party of 3 stayed for 4 nights during Marathon weekend at the HI Express. The hotel was full with many marathoners from other parts of the world also staying here. The halls were very quiet at night! Just like other reviewers have mentioned - the staff was friendly and helpful, buffet breakfast was all we needed to get going... more

This hotel was perfect, the room was fairly spacious and quite clean. The staff was friendly and had no problem with our arrival before check in time. The breakfast wasn't great, but it was free and better than just donuts. The rates are much lower than downtown. Their is absolutely nothing wrong with the neighborhood, it's not rich, but it's... more

My son and I booked a room at the Holiday Inn Express located at 69 Boston Street in Boston, Massachusettes while doing a college visit. I researched for several days for a reasonably priced hotel in Boston that was close to downtown (not an easy feat!) We were THRILLED with the accomodations! The room was VERY clean, the bed was... more

My girlfriend and I just got back from a 5 day, 4 night stay in Boston. We did all the normal touristy stuff, and used the T often. The Holiday Inn was within walking distance to the andrew T station. The neighborhood was alright, safe enough to walk around in if your with someone else. We ended up walking back... more

Wonderful stay. Got in early and they accomodated a early check-in. Daily hot breakfast including, sausages, eggs, bacon and cold cereal and bagels, etc. The room was comfy and quiet. Easy 5 minute walk to the Andrew T station. We felt real safe walking to and from the station both day and night. The hotel staff was very friendly and... more

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights while we visted Boston and to watch a hockey game. It was very easy to get to as we drove from Ontario. While there we parked the car and utilized Boston's subway system to get into downtown and all around Boston. The Subway station was a short walk about 10 minutes or... more

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights because it was way cheaper than hotels in town and because it was close to the Boston subway (T), which takes you into town for $ 1,70. We read some very negative reviews so we were pleasantly surprised to find this a wonderful place. The staff was friendly and helpful, the... more

This is NOT in the heart of Boston! This is in a truly bad neighborhood. We stayed here for the park and fly and had a bad experience with that as well. I highly recommend finding anything else in Boston away from here. more

I chanced upon the Holiday Inn Express while attempting to find a reasonably-priced room close to the new convention center in South Boston. Fortunately, I found what I was looking for and more. The facility was clean and well-cared for. My room had 1 queen-sized bed that was comfortable, room temp was fine, tv and other amenities adequate. Wireless internet... more
