Overall the John Jefferies House represents pretty good value for its price. The common areas are lovely and the building has heaps of character. I stayed with my wife and infant child in a deluxe suite. It was spacious and very clean. Basically if you visit their web site, you get what you see (which is great news for travellers... more

This hotel (or B & B) was excellent value. It is opposite a Subway station with easy access to all the attractions and it's also central enough to walk to most of them. The rooms were clean and well serviced. Maintainance was good also. A window got stuck and they came around in minutes to solve. Another day the wash... more

Just love the John Jeffries. The rooms have been recently rennovated, and we had a delightful corner room (Junior Suite) with a lovely view over the Charles, and enough room to hold a mini happy hour with family. The staff, as always, are extremely helpful and turned a closed eye on our contingent of a dozen while we gathered in... more

Nice location, once you found it. Parking is off-site so prepare to lug your luggage. WE had a cellar room, one bed, one pull out sleeper with lousy mattress. It is an effort to unload and load luggage since there is no service for this at the hotel. The parking garage is around the corner from the hotel. Discount from... more

This location was superb. It rained for a good portion of our stay and we could easily run to a nearby T-station, convenience store and grocery/liquor store. The Junior Suite was small but clean. Since we were their to visit friends and sight see, we did not spend much time in the room so size was not a concern. On... more

Even though we haven't stayed here we met the facility. The room we knew (the superior suite) is a big room and a living room with a kitchenette and a sofabeb. It was very clean and cosy. The staff was very kind with us, specially Synthia Santana, front desk clerk. The location is great, in the middle of beacon hill,... more

The hotel is well situated opposite the metro and in easy walking distance of Quincy Market, the North End and Boston Common. Coffee was available 24/7 and our room was compact with a kitchenette and table and chairs. Our room on the 2nd floor was immaculately presented and looked like it had recently been refurbished. The only flip side was... more

Stayed here for two nights, although the welcome wasn't great, they front desk helped you if you asked the right questions! The room was of a good size, we had a ground floor room and it was perfect for us, bedroom, bathroom (v good size and good shower) kitchenette and lots of storage spaces. Breakfast was included which was a... more
