We are 2 couples, had 2 of the small suites. Ours was on the first floor - and yet it was very quiet at night. It is not your Four Star, chocolate on the pillow sort of place, but it was less expensive than the Holiday Inn Express outside of town - and very nice! Simple continental breakfast in an... More

This is the perfect location for discovering the historic Beacon Hill/ Freedom Trail area of Boston. We were able to walk to most of the areas of interest that we had for our short stay. The room we had was actually a suite, with separated bedroom and sitting/ tv room. It is considered a B&B, with the breakfast being a... More

We spent the weekend here. We were attending Homecoming at the MGH and the continuing education program. We date ourselves by saying we remember when this facility was the nurses home for the Mass. Eye and Ear nurses since we lived as students on the other end of Charles St.. It is very good value for money in an expensive... More

Friendly service, clean large room, and seeing it is located in the Beacon Hill area, it was so easy to walk to everything we wanted to while we visited Boston. Would definitely stay there again. We were with friends and they were also very pleased with the accomodations. They offer a continental breakfast and you can get tea, coffee and... More

This hotel is a bed and breakfast, and reasonably priced for what it offers - considering how expensive hotels are in Boston. Rooms are not that small and they even have a kitchen. Furniture is old, bed makes funny noises and the carpet does not seem to have been vacuumed recently. Breakfast is ok, but not great - they offer... More

I’m a Marriott member however when I travel to larger cities I shy away from the $500+/night hotels. The staff and rooms here are excellent. From the airport I took the silver line SL1 bus to South Station (red subway-T line) traveling towards Alewife. Exit Charles/MGM which is 2 stops north. The bus is free so is the transfer onto... Great service, beautiful room and clean. Superb breakfast, yes it is just pastry and fruit but if you want more go buy. It was nice having coffee all day and fruit if you wanted and the choice of pastry and rolls was outstanding.. Loved having a frig for drinks. A bit noisy with the sirens but it is the city... More

We stayed 5 days in room 106 with separate twin beds, living area with sofa and table with two chairs and clean bathroom and kitchenette. Everything was clean. If you want your room refreshed each day, put the card with the green side out on the door handle. We had pads on the beds and slept well. This was the... More

We stayed 5 days in August and really loved this historical hotel. The staff provided immediately at any request and was helpful with information. We appreciated a large suite with useful kitchenette, a very confortable sofa, a spacious double-bed room. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The House is a real jewel, located al the beginning of the historical sites, as... More

Attending family wedding and wanted close to historical area without breaking the bank. The location was perfect. The rooms, service, and cleanliness were more than acceptable. The rooms were large and well appointed. It met all our needs and was a bargain compared to others in the locale. Walkable to the historic areas and waterfront markets/activities, just up a couple...
