In the heart of one of my favorite walking cities, with a beautiful French façade and striking red awnings, stands the historic Fairmont. Fans of architect Henry Hardenbergh will be more than pleased. The moment we were greeted by Kelly, the attentive doorman, we were able to escape into an old world stay...which is an anomaly in an age of... More

For $$$, your stay should be special, not disappointing. I've stayed in other historic hotels owned by Fairmont where that has been the case, but not so this time. This is just another big city hotel with impersonal service that happens to have a magnificent lobby. We were told we had been given an upgraded room. I would've hated to... More

Pros: Location, Cleanliness Cons: Stuffy, Aging décor and fixtures in room. The bartenders weren't overly eager to serve me as I was not in a suit, they did give me a glass of water (when I ordered a cocktail) and never returned.. I would likely stay up the street at the Hyatt for my next visit..

We stayed for three nights at the hotel and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Recently refurbished the rooms were very comfortable and well appointed. Loved the luxury white bath robes. The health/fitness suite at roof level is an excellent work space and this leads out to a rooftop sun terrace. The staff were most helpful at all times when information was... More

4th time staying here. Pricey but worth it. Stayed with Presidential club this time- private drinks and food. Clean rooms, excellent service. Restaurant in Hotel with good bartender service (didn't try food). Close to subway and very easy to get around from hotel.

Our room was right off the elevator. In spite of this sleeping was easy with hall noises well-buffered by rugs and well insulated walls. Linens were crisp, clean and smelled fresh. Marble walls in the bathroom although small did not lack in elegance. The shower was an A plus. No more needs to be said about that. Staff in the... More

Great. Right in the middle of downtown. Close to a lot of things including public transportation. Overall excellent service and clean. Nice roof top fitness room. The toilet in my bathroom was comically close to the wall, that was the only odd thing about my stay.

I had the experience of staying on the Gold Floor at the end of June. The entire experience exceeded every expectation. I was traveling alone and felt immediately "at home." I even took advantage of the opportunity to walk "Carly," one of the hotel's two amazing black lab, canine ambassadors and received a warm "thank you" note from the Fairmont... More

This hotel is part of Fairmont Family and thus I expect a high level of service. This was expensive and not worth the money. They left our bags on the cart in the lobby for a half hour. After requesting front desk to find the bellman they remained untouched. We ended up taking them up ourselves without any question. I... More

We were treated like royalty from the moment we pulled up to the moment we left. We had a suite overlooking Copley Plaza which was newly renovated but still had old world charm - just gorgeous! The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The "continental breakfast" served in the lounge was above and beyond my expectations!

Centrally located in beautiful Back Bay, this luxury hotel is just steps from many popular historic sites, as well as the celebrated boutiques on Newbury Street. Our dedicated staff delivers incomparable hospitality, impeccable service and attention to detail to ensure your stay is perfect.
