The staff was friendly and accommodating during the heaviest snowfall in recent history (we traveled in January 2011 - but I couldn't choose this option below). The rooms were comfortable and clean, and thanks to a deal we found, our room was available at a great price. The guest house is located in a great location, within walking distance of... More

I spent three nights here to try a different hotel. The location is great- Back Bay is the place to stay and it is convenient to everything. My room was tiny- I mean really tiny. I was glad I was the only one in it. It was nicely decorated and I loved the lobby. I did peek in the other... More

This guest house is ideally located in the Back Bay area, on a street full of boutique shops and restaurants. Despite the nightlife, it's not rowdy, and you're well placed to walk or get the T to all of Boston and Cambridge's main attractions. (Talking of the T, if you're arriving at Logan Airport then get the free courtesy bus... More

This was a lovely small guest house that came personally recommended by a local. The service was friendly and the beds were big and comfy (although we found this at most places in Boston!) The location was excellent- Newbury street is the best in Boston and there are lots of eateries nearby. There was also wifi access. I'd recommend.

This hotel was exactly what we were looking for in Boston: quiet, convenient, nicely appointed, great complimentary breakfast, free wifi, and a great price considering you're in Boston! The staff was polite and courteous and we had a friendly conversations about the different colleges we were visiting while in Boston. Our room, 309, was high above the street and quieter... More

We found this hotel to be the perfect place to experience Boston. Rooms were wonderful and the setting of the hotel very Boston. Breakfast was excellent. Location very good for getting around either on foot or by buses and trains. Heaps of bars and restaurants nearby. Staff friendly and available 24/7

My partner and I stayed at the Newbury while on a spring break college tour with our 17-year old son. Of the three hotels we stayed in on our trip, the Newbury was the only one that disappointed us. While the location may be convenient for some and the tiny guest rooms have been beautifully renovated, the negative feelings generated... More

I'm giving them an extra star for how well they handled the (infamous?) Back Bay Blackout. I was attending a conference and after a transformer up the street blew, we were without power for almost two days. Despite it all, I still felt right at home. The first night they brought around flashlights for everyone and managed to still have... More
