We stayed at the hotel to get a view of the fireworks. Only if you get a room that's facing the Charles and that's a little high up (we had room 707) can you see the fireworks. The view is off to the left side of the hotel so you can only have about 4 people sit on the ledge... more

We loved this hotel. The suite was large and it was very close to Cambridge. It has a beautiful view of the Charles River. We would definitely stay here again and I will look for more doubletree suites in the future. We also had breakfast here the next morning which was good as well. It was pouring rain out so... more

The hotel appears to be a conversion of an Embassy Suites with its vertical atrium and actual two room suite layout. The rooms are roomy and nice. The hotel common areas were a bit better than expected, and the hotel has one of the best Jaz Clubs we have seen. Big names are booked in all the time. With the... more

Gorgeous hotel but expensive Boston prices! The room was one of the most beautiful I have ever stayed in and had an incredible view of the Charles River, Harvard, and the city! The bed was very comfortable. The lobby is an open atrium and I was on the 11th floor. The hotel is lovely. I just think they could include... more

we stayed in a so-called "executive suite" an upgrade of 14 dollars a night for my daughter's graduation. we had a terrible experience. the air conditioning functions with a sensor so that it only works if it senses movement; it was 95 degrees while we were there. not only was the room broiling when we came back to it each... more

I stayed at this hotel 4 times between Dec 2006 and July 2007 for business trips. This location was selected because of it’s proximity to the company we were meeting with. It may otherwise be a bit off the beaten path. However, it is within walking distance of Harvard. I consider it within walking distance of the subway, but some... more

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. I checked in late, as I had told them I would be. They swiped my credit card as is typical as an authorization for any outstanding charges. On checking out, I paid my bill in full on my credit card. When I returned home, I was confused to find 2 charges from... more

I stayed to this property for 2 nights while visiting HBS. While it's not close to the city centre, the highway provides easy access to downtown, and Cambridge is steps away. Nice view from the room, as you can see from the picture. I like the suite-thing, nice configuration with living room, fridge, microwave oven, etc. The restaurant is quite... more

I used Priceline and I was initially really irritated to be booked at a Doubletree Guest Suites, which I don't think fit the bill of 3.5 "upscale deluxe" or however Priceline described the option. The hotel is oddly located if you are a "walking tourist," it's right off the highway and a boring 1 mile walk to the subway. We... more

My sister and I stayed at this hotel for one night when our favorite team (the Baltimore Orioles) was in town to play the Red Sox. I booked a one bedroom suite with a pullout sofa. We arrived around 11 AM, but the room wasn't ready due to the fact that they were sold out the night before. I totally... more
