I was teetering between 2 and 3, but then I remembered my check-in experience. Quite possibly some of the worst customer service I've ever received, the receptionist essentially accused me of lying, and when I asked to speak to a manager, she said she couldn't find one. Eventually she relented to my request (which I had already arranged weeks before... More

Don't even think about this hotel. You pay $331 per night w/ tax for the following service: (1) no heating through the night, even when the outside temp is below 60; (2) one of the elevator cars are always half-broken, tricking people and wasting their time; (3) 2 hours of waiting to fix the room; (4) long, long, waiting line... I attended a conference that was being held at the Park Plaza Hotel. The room was small especially with two two year olds. We requested two cribs and a refrigerator in advance and upon check I. I had to show the e-mail response I received confirming both requests. The refrigerator came immediately but we had to ask for a crib... More

We stayed for one week and booked a double double room. We booked this hotel as it was the cheapest option at the time despite it having negative reviews. However we were happy with the size of our room and didn't get any noise from neighbouring rooms. The beds are very comfy as are the pillows. The room was in... More

When a hotel calls its own rooms "petite" one naturally braces for a miniscule glorified broom closet. While my "petite" room was indeed on the small side, it had all the space I needed for one person for one night. The room had some signs of wear and repair, but also a certain sense of class and history. All in... More

The structure itself is very old for a hotel, and that itself is a love-hate thing. Me, I loved it. You somewhat feel trasported to the 40's, and surely the hotel hasn't changed that much since. That includes tiny bathrooms, quick and excellent room service, iffy (if modern) climatizing and no much noise suppression. The guide in the room does... More

It was graduation weekend in Boston and the Park Plaza offered a rate far lower than even the 3 star hotels in the area. We've stayed at the Park Plaza before and found it was adequate with a superb location. We found that it once again met our expectations. Don't expect world class service or recently renovated rooms. But you... More

No sound proof rooms. Hotel 6 is better. High priced breakfast $15 ?? It is close to everything (subway, etc.) Staff was friendly and helpful !!! Large chain resturants are close but not much local eats.

It's downtown Boston and you're paying less than $200...this is what you get if you want to be near the activity. I bought from Priceline. The room is tiny and the paint and moldings are 80 years old. Hallways are loud at night, and A/C is clunky, but it's convenient and (relatively) inexpensive.

Boston Park Plaza is not your hotel if you want free Wi-Fi, a new bathroom, and a Belgian waffle for breakfast. This is one of the Grand Dames of Boston, with an enormous, elaborate lobby, comfortable rooms, and bright corridors. The staff are friendly and do their jobs well. The building shows its age with grace. The location is hard... More
