Yes the Park Plaza is dated but the location is great, prices are good, and my stay was enjoyable.
First time in Boston, didn't know the areas, booked a hotel first in the worst part of city (Malden)Decided to pay even more for a better area and hotel. Not knowing that beside the location this hotel was even worse with aminities, you pay extra for Wifi in the room, no refrig or mini bar no microwave in the room....

The only reason it has a poor is because the location is excellent. Good restaurants nearby central location, but for a business atmosphere with modern conveniences absolutely not. Prostitutes were seen coming and going and the long creepy hallways were reminiscent ofthemovie The Shining.the rooms and bathrooms were antiquated with strange wires coming out to the walls that were disconcerting to...

This hotel, while historic with lovely public areas is not as nice as you would think. The rooms were no better than many budget hotels I have stayed in with bad paint jobs, poor housekeeping, and small, small, small bathrooms. When I was given an "upgrade" to a room with two bathrooms I imagined nothing short of luxury however, the...

I was at this hotel for a conference. The spaces are small, not just the rooms, but also the conference rooms. They have divided up their large ballrooms into conference spaces in the most haphazard manner I have ever seen in a hotel. For example, one room was a long narrow room, about 5 seats wide and 25 seats (at...

Stayed at this location due to the location to an event I was attending. I opted for the tower and it was well worth it! Room was clean, I loved the all white bedding, and best of all they have a lounge on the 15 th floor!
I've stayed here on a few occassions. I always love it here. Historic and stately would describe this hotel. From the doormen to the desk, bellboy to waiter, everyone here is very friendly and helpful. Only complaint I would have (and applies to MOST hotels, not just this one), why can't they provide free wi-fi? For as much as you...

Yes it's tired and needs some modernization, but the rooms are nice sized, the wi-fi works, there is a selection of restaurants both in the hotel and nearby and it works as a good base. The staff is nice, the hotel is clean, and you are reminded of the Boston that once was....with all of its Brahmin elegance
If you don't want to read this review, I uploaded pictures that say it all. The pictures are from the second room they gave me, the first room was even worse (if you can imagine).
With the setting of the hotel, and the price, I expected it to be better than average. I was wrong. I have stayed at cheap...

I stayed here for the Boston Marathon. The location is ideal. What you gain in location you lose in hotel amenities. Rooms do not have refrigerators or mini-bars. The rooms are small in nature. The furniture has seen many guests. One unique feature of the hotel, the hallways seem wide enough for driving a car. The lobby, while grand seemed...
