My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel for just one night on our way up to a vacation in Maine. I booked through Expedia and got a rate that was much cheaper than what was advertised on the hotel website. Unfortunately, even for about $100 off the regular room rate, I still feel like I got ripped off. First... more

I chose the hotel based on business meeting location. Internet connection in the room was wired and hotel didn't have long wires to allow me to move the computer away from the desk. The connection was also shaky even when using the provided wired. Helpdesk didn't solve the problem. more

Let’s start with the good: 1) Location, location, location. Very close to wonderful Boston Commons and wonderful Boston shopping (Newbury St.). 2) The Hotel Bar (Whiskey Park). My husband was very excited that they served absinthe (but not very excited about the $13 price tag). Now, the (much longer) bad: 1) The bell hops didn’t take our suitcase out of... more

I agree with the others that the staff is very rude. I had a bigger problem. When we got home lokking at my credit card bill i realized they had over charged me by $156.00. I called and everyone gave me the run around. I left messages on4 different people's voice mail and no one has called me back in... more

My schoolmates and I were here for a conference in Feb. We liked its location, close to Newbury St, the Arlington station of the T, and Boston Commons. We even managed to walk to the Charles River and MIT and Harvard in Cambridge (though it took us an hour). The hotel is old (apparently every American President since 1928 has... more

I must say this among the worst hotel to stay. They charged me USD 320 per day without breakfast and were poor in all sence. Smallest room size as if you are staying in a store. I would rate this hotel as one hotel which is just charging for its location. Guys please do not stay here. Only good thing... more

Stayed for 2 nights on a recent trip. Location was excellent, rooms were very nice, lobby absolutely beautiful. I'd highly recommend this hotel, was a bit of luxury from staying in small cramped shared bathrooms in new york. Would definitely stay there again! more

I had reservations to stay here this coming September -- I just cancelled them due to unresponsiveness of the hotel -- I call, the phone rings once, someone picks up and hangs up. I email and no response. All I wanted to know is which T-stop is closest to the hotel. The lack of response and reports of cockroaches and... more

Checking in to this hotel was a bit of a challenge because only 1 of our 3 booked rooms showed up in their database. Though we had our paperwork clearing showing the booking and confirmation numbers etc the desk guy told us to call the agent (in this case American Express) to fax over the booking. (Why they were not... more
