I stayed here for 3 nights with my Boyfriend and his 4 friends who had been travelling round America. We were grateful of somewhere to stay as the weather was awful when we arrived. The lady on reception was very helpful if a little eccentric! Rooms were very basic, me and my boyfriend had a private room while the other... more

I stayed in YMCA for three nights. I must say that I had searched over the Internet for quite a long time since I found hotels in Boston too expensive. YMCA is a good option taking into account that it costs about $45 a night per person (w/ shared bathroom) and breakfast included. In addition, it is the only hotel... more

I felt that the YWCA website misrepresented the Residence, as it did not indicate the strange mix of people. Many of the long-stay residents have physical or psychiatric problems. A number work shifts at odd hours, so there are notices to keep noise down at all times. Long-term and short-stay residents share facilities (bathrooms, tv room, laundry), and are in... more

This residence is situated on a very noisy street and although some of it is cut out by the windows, it is still hard to sleep at night. There is nothing but the bare minimum in the rooms; the furniture must be from the 1960s at least or rejects from other places. There was a wardrobe with two wire hangers,... more

This was my first time staying in a hostel. Not too bad. But you should not expect their front desk person will treat you as politely as a front desk of a hotel will do. I arrived around 10 PM and pressed the door bell twice. The front desk elderly lady greeted me with an upset face and told me... more

Mental asylum! There are permanent residents who live there who you'd mistake for a homeless person. The hostel is very creepy. I was fool to book for three nights and pay all upfront, and then realized why they don't give refunds if you want to change your mind and stay elsewhere. It's terrible, and you will know why after the... more

The accomodation is above average from a hostal and has a clean room. The centre is well kept and safe. The location is great for night life, bars and shopping yet quiet enough to get a good nights sleep. No problems here for the money paid. It's basic so don't expect too much. more

As Boston is very short on Hostels so this worked out perfect for us. The building is big and colourful and It has great facilitys such as a laundry room and a canteen. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed. The staff were very friendly and informative with maps and coupons off stuff. There is a handy... more

This place is spartan - reminds me of a college room. I stayed because it was only $60 a night (that includes breakfast but I left early so didn't try it). I spent almost no time in the room but did take my laptop to the mezzanine floor where there's free internet. At 1 point I went into the phone... more
