Not sure what the deal is but there are certainly some people who stay that are not there for a hostel visit. Saw somewhere else that someone claimed it serves as a battered women's shelter which after staying, I may believe. So that portion could make some slightly uncomfortable. I stayed here with a friend for two nights, after staying in hostel dorm rooms for weeks and weeks the private rooms were a lovely break. What can I say. You just can't find any other place to stay that offers a single bed to yourself and free internet for less than $120. Best of all, it's within the heart of the city. More

I enjoyed my stay at 40 Berkley, the room was comfortable, the free breakfast was delicious and the portions were plentiful. The residence was in the center of all the best cites we wanted to see. Everything was kept very clean and the showers were clean, spacious and well maintainied. I especially enjpoyed the professional staff. More
