Very cozy. We absolutely loved it. Alan the owner was amazing and very sweet. He was very helpful to us when we were looking for places to go. Room was plenty for 2, bed was so comfortable! It had a whole set up! It was clean. The fire place was a plus. My ONLY complaint and it isn't even their... More

I needed to have a short break and found The Pines to be the perfect spot since I live in Hendersonville, NC. The cottage was quaint, a step back in time, and spotlessly clean. The kitchen had all the necessary items although I did not cook very much. The bed was soooo comfortable that I had a wonderful two night... More

My friend and I had the best time sitting on the porch of cottage four playing games. Staff was so friendly we kept asking him to stay and talk with us. The cottage was amazingly clean for such an old building we couldn't believe it. No thick coats of paint or layers of caulk in bathroom. The bedding was first... More

Three of us met up at this charming, cozy and conveniently located cabin 16 -18 December 2015. It turned out to be the best possible option for us for a fun-filled 2 - night stay in the Asheville area to tour the Biltmore House. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful....the cabin was meticulously sparkling clean and the heating system... More

We just returned from a five day stay here for Christmas. Although the location was perfect for our needs, we had some issues with our cottage (#9) and housekeeping. The gravel drive does not have much gravel left and because of quite a bit of rain during our stay, we had to exit our vehicle and walk through red mud... More

We recently took a trip up to Asheville for our annual Biltmore Holiday trip and decided to try out staying at The Pines - I'm really glad we did. When we first arrived, I was a little skeptical because of the area (it's surrounded by trailer parks), but the property itself is adorable. It's very private and quiet because it's... More

Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm glad you enjoyed our gift to you! You'll be happy to know that cottage 7 has a new sofa and over the next few months, we will replace many of the mattresses with pillow-tops. I hope we will see you again during your next visit to Asheville. More

I just surprised my husband with a weekend in cottage 2 and it was wonderful. He commented when we left that the 2 nights there was more relaxing physically and mentally than a week at beach. As others stated the shower is small but ok (we are both 5.10). The gas fireplace was the heat source which was awesome and... More

My family recently stayed at the Pines Cottages and what I thought would be magical was not even close. The pictures make the place look like it remote and secluded however it is in between a major highway and and very busy main road. No charm at all. Bright street lamps shining into the windows of the cabin- and we... More

We stayed in cottage one and we are so glad we did. The cottage (which I was told was built in 1929) was charming, very clean, cozy with a stylish flair! The staff were incredibly friendly and even helped up build a fire due to our lack of experience with fire building. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud... More

The cabin was adorable. Very clean and well kept. Nice grounds. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They took the time to show me some great hiking areas. They treated myself and my baby (my dog) like we were family. I felt very welcome here and will definitely come here again.
