I enjoy this hotel due to its wonderful spa, spa pool areas, and the Sunset Terrace Dining Room. The guest rooms are a little old, mainly just outdated in terms of the furniture. However, my significant other and I spent our time enjoying the world class Spa and Spa pool areas. The underground spring pools were delightful and refreshing. And... more

This was a great hotel in the 80's. Truly a grand location. But service has fallen to an unacceptable level. The Horizon retaurant was very good. The club lounge was nice. But the rest of the hotel lacked customer focus. more

The Grove Park Inn exceeded my expectations. Coming from FL- the weather was wonderful. You could do as much as you wanted to do - plenty of activities and not everything cost "extra" to do- or you could do nothing at all. There are a huge variety of areas to sit, read, relax and enjoy different views of the gorgeous... more

We attended the big band/swing weekend at the Grove Park and took advantage of the trip to get a couples massage in the spa. What an incredible weekend. The GPI is expensive, but worth it. The character of the hotel, beauty of the surroundings, and attention to detail throughout the complex are exemplary. And the staff are amazing in their... more

The NC mountains are some of the best in the country, and the Grove Park Inn is one of the best resorts! The grounds are absolutely lovely, the rooms are comfortable and well appointed, the food is delicious, and the staff is professional and well informed about the Asheville area. It is such a peaceful place; the Blue Ridge mountains... more

This i s my 6th or 7th trip to Grove Park Inn, and this was one of our favorites. I am not a big spa person, but this spa is definitely worth visiting if you are looking for a relaxing time. Sitting on the Sunset Terrace eating dinner while the sun sinks behind the mountains is one of our favorite... more

Complaints in brief... Upon arrival not enough bellman to take up luggage so we had to do it ourselves. $20/ day to vallet park your car in the baking sun or free if you park it yourself in the shaded parking garage. Elevators didn't always function. $75 taxes/resort fees on a $199 room $8 for a piece of chocolate cake... more

We stayed 2 nights for a wedding at the inn in a "property view" less expensive room. View of the grounds beats most hotel views and unless you need a mountain view, this room is fine. Room was very attractive and tasteful, spacious, quiet and with refrigerator and microwave. I thought it was great. This is not a cozy inn,... more

The 2 side "wings" of the hotel are "new." The center main lodge is the old, historic portion. When we arrived they put us in the new section. The room was large, but the two beds definitely seemed smaller than queens. There was no Grove Park charm about the room. The room could have been interchangable with a room at... more

This is not a resort for the budget minded but, if you're looking for gorgeous views, warm and relaxing atmosphere in a mountain setting, this is a fantastic spot. Just be prepared to pay the price. Stay away from the buffet breakfast-unless you can consume exhorbident amounts-it's common and costly, even for the not so budget minded. There is a... more
