We stayed in a regular room, not a suite. The pros: Doubletree is located very close to Biltmore. Doubletree had very, very comfortable beds. They give you a really good cookie upon check-in. You have a temperature controlled thermostat. The cons: Doubletree did not have full curtains in the rooms, only thin white sheers. Forget sleeping late without full curtains.... more
My wife and I needed a place to get away and relax. We drove the Blue Ridge Parkway to Asheville and stayed at the DoubleTree Hotel. It was convenient to the Parkway, next to the Biltmore Estate, walking distance to shopping and food - what more could you ask for. The staff was wonderful and the hotel was quiet, clean... more
We found the Doubletree Hilton a wonderful place to stay...clean, comfortable, pleasant, conveniently located...comfortable beds and pillows....WONDERFUL COOKIES...would definitely stay here again...God bless, Jan S. Vick more
This is a nice clean hotel, very quiet, and pretty dull as hotels go. It is well staffed and apparently was built here to provide a nice hotel close to Biltmore village and the Biltmore entrance. If you aren't going to Biltmore or the village don't bother with this place though because it has nothing else going for it. No... more

During your visit to our hotel we invite you to walk through our lobby which is filled with historical items from Asheville's past, or relax in our newly renovated courtyard. For the kids...
My wife and I stayed here during some of our house hunting visits to Asheville before we moved here a year ago. We also stayed at the Renaissance downtown (separate review), and the two hotels were very similar in their amenities. The difference is their location, and that is comparing apples and oranges. The Doubletree is located adjacent to the... more
March 2008 - The staff at this hotel is extremely friendly and accommodating. When we arrived it was an hour before check-in but they were able to get us in our rooms within a few minutes. They also put us next door to the other two people with whom we were traveling. Then we were given warm cookies. The Biltmore... more
I am an Airline Captain for American Airlines. I stay in more hotels in a year than I care to even think about. My stay at the Doubletree Hotel Biltmore was special. Of course the hotel was clean, comfortable with very nice rooms -- that is a given at a Doubletree. What set this hotel off was the staff. From... more
We stayed here only one night. We had spent the day in the Smokey Mountains goofing off. When we got to the hotel, we were upgraded to a suite. Mmmm, chocolate chip cookies too. The room was wonderful. My husband had problems, and ended up being sick all evening. The front desk staff found us some ginger ale, soda crackers... more
Clearly NOT up to the Hilton-required standard for their Doubletree brand. The property is 20 years old and shows EXTREME signs of wear. It feeds on unsuspecting tourists and families with little kids who do not know any better and are willing to dole out $250+ per night for incredibly poor accomodations and horrible service. There is no 'resort' atmosphere,... more
