This hotel located at the entrance to the Biltmore Estate should be a flagship for this brand. It is not! It is sorely in need of a brighter interior image. My wife and I found it to be a depressing place to return to after wonderful days in and around Asheville. If you're going to Asheville stay somewhere else.

Overall, our stay at this Doubletree was okay. We were greeted by friendly and professional front desk staff, our check-in was quick and we loved the fresh baked cookies we received upon check-in completion. A first for me, we were asked for a floor preference and were shown a floor plan of available rooms (we requested a room in a... More

Booked this hotel through Priceline and could not have been happier with location, room, and breakfast. We were less than a mile from the Biltmore. Hotel had a great breakfast buffet with made-to-order omelets and patio seating. Beautiful garden terrace. Our room was simple but clean and quiet. TGIFridays is attached to hotel and great for late night snack or... More

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times and have never been disappointed. When you walk in the front door, the first think you will notice is she smell of the fresh baked cookies! The staff is very professional and quite helpful with directions. The rooms are very clean with nice linens. If you do not feel like driving to... More

Have to start off by saying that fresh cookies when you check in is a plus!! Beyond that, the close proximity to the Biltmore grounds was outstanding. The rooms were very nice, and the breakfast was wonderful! My family loved the made-to-order omlets. We came at Christmas time, and we loved the holiday decor. It is on the high side... More

Small room with no frig and could not even have a roll away bed. Hampton Inn is much better than the upgraded Double Tree. Electric outlet was exposed with no cover plate which is a major safety issue with children.

Great location, close to the Biltmore Estate, downtown Asheville and walking distance to biltmore village. Clean with comfortable beds and large rooms. Ours had a king bed with separate sitting area. I didn't like that I had to pay for a cup of coffee in the Lobby in the morning although there was a one cup coffee maker in room.... More

Visited recently. Right when I open the door from our room I can smell the old carpet , the Capet is old and dirty which you can feel if you walk barefooted. The furniture is old and dirty, needs to be replaced. You can't clean them. Bathroom is gross (reminds me of a motel bathroom). Called the manager and was... More

Even with my two wild kids the staff was very nice. The lobby is actually kind of fun, with lots of things to look at, including things and facts from the old creamery. Rooms were clean, breakfast was great. We would stay here again. It is a bit of a walk across a busy road if walking to town, but... More

I was not impressed. The room was clean but small and the bed was not very comfortable. The staff were not friendly though there was no line when I checked in and out. Definitely not the level of service I would expect from a full service hotel. I've had friendlier service at Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn and Courtyard.
