My boyfriend and I stayed for two nights on the weekend in early august. The room was smelly and there wasn't a fitted sheet on the queen size bed only two flat sheets. The carpet was crunchy and we could hear our neighbors arguing into the night and we got a room facing the busy street. The bathroom was small... More

Never have I been so disappointed in a lodging. This joint has to be 50 years old and looks it. I stayed for two nights (sadly), and when I arrived in the room, I noticed that there were no lamp shades on the lights at the head of the bed. The bed was terrible, and when I arose the next... More

We end up booking our room last minute at the mountaineer Inn and the price was pretty good (Considdering it was a Friday night)compared to most of the hotels/motels in the area. We end up just staying there for the next 5 days. Its a nice cozy place and pretty quiet for the most part. Eveybody there was really nice... More

The staff was very nice, but nice didn't make up for a filthy dirty room, with filth floors, filthy sink, toilet, and an air conditioner that blew air so foul smelling we couldn't leave it on. We didn't stay, even after being shown another worse room. Pass this one.

Booked this as a last minute prior to driving from Nashville to Charleston. It looks old and it is old. We were given two rooms at the top rear level. On inspecting the rooms they were dirty, the bedding was stained and soiled with cigarette burn on the side of the bath. No water from one tap and both rooms... More

Terrible place, run by an old Greek, who although a nice enough guy, clearly believes that since it was good enough when he bought it in 1960ish there was no reason to update or maintain or clean. Our room was dirty, smelled damp and mouldy, the bed smelled of pee, the tv was from the 50's, and the aircon unit... More

The room smells like cigarettes and mold. Everything is outdated. The carpet is dirty. Gnats flying all around the room. I felt something biting me throughout the bight. I looked allover and ccouldn't tell what it was. I made my husband keep the lights on while we slept. I woke up every hour worried about having to sleep in this... More

We arrived late and no rooms to be found so we had to stay here. The price was 79.00 which was really overly priced for what we received. This is an older hotel so the room was big, but not realy clean. The owner was nice though.

The hotel is a travel back to the 70's, but the staff is very friendly. The room is huge and the shower is great. The breakfast is good. The hotel owner is amazing to talk about everything you want to.

OK,,only $79 a night, but....bird poop on the room door, lime green bathroom fixtures, dribbly shower, no drawer on desk, no wi fi password, handle missing on chest, chair cushion ripped, smells like cheap room deodorizer, dirty coffee maker, dirty shower curtain, moldy shower. Don't stay here. Pay more and get a better place.
