We booked on site at the Howard Johnson's in Biltmore; having to stay for just one night for Asheville appointments. This place has some age, but we wanted a ground floor room which was readily available at a good price. Angel who was on duty at the front desk booked and also checked us in and was very helpful with... more

I booked this hotel for our weekend stay in Asheville, based on some advice to try and stay near Biltmore Village. This place gave the best rate, so I thought we'd give it a shot although I wondered if we might regret it. Well, my wife and I were very pleasantly surprised - this was perfect for us! Our room... more

We do not recommend this hotel as it is poorly kept. It is very close to the Biltmore but not worth the money. There are many other nice hotels in the area that are still economical. The door handle fell off of the outside door, our room key rarely worked and the water ran all night. more

Here's what I didn't like about this Howard Johnson: the two indifferent high school kids working the front desk, no internet access in your room, no free breakfast, no gym, and... the place hasn't been redecorated in 25 years. Here's what I liked: our room was HUGE, with two sinks, two huge comfortable beds, and a balcony. The place is... more

The queen size beds were worth the stay there. They were large and comfortable. Hotel kind of old but well kept and clean. Good location for Biltmore and Chimney Rock Park Visit. more

Do not stay here! It is depressing, dirty, and run down. This place is a ghost town. The only cars in the parking lot were the 2 employees, very scary. more

My 6 month old grandson spent 7 long days and nights at Mission/St. Joseph Hospital of Asheville. Being in the Children's ICU did not allow anyone but his mother to stay with him. Grandpa and I wanted to be close if our daughter needed us. We called other hotels at the Biltmore exit and explained the situation, all of them... more

This HoJo was very close to Biltmore Estate/Village, and there is a TGI Fridays across the street. The staff was extreamly nice and helpful at all times, and the Breakfast at Chatt's in the lobby was wonderful and fast. The rooms are a little outdated, and if you want a microwave you must ask for a room that comes with... more

Stayed for three days. Nice pool but was suprised to find no washer or dryer for guest. Also, no computer for customer use. Housekeeping staff very friendly, but hotel staff could use some training on customer service. Access in and out of the hotel onto the main street is lousy and dangerous. With all the other hotels available in the... more

We felt that the location, the comfort of the room, the customer service, and the restaurant on site added up to the best value in the area! We are planning another trip to this same hotel in the fall! Thank you, --- for making it easier to find good accommodations like this! more
