I've never been to a Bed & Breakfast. My friends and I took a road trip here for vacation...This was the best getaway ever!! I cannot say enough about this place. The hospitality was amazing, incredible views and a great location. I fell in love with Asheville! I cannot wait to stay here again!!

Admittedly, it took me a while to write this review. Don't leave now though - stay for the good stuff! Always a fan of B&Bs, we sought out a quiet and relaxing location with some pizazz. The 1889 WhiteGate Inn delivers! Not only is this amazing old house well appointed with beautiful décor and that 'creaky floor' detail that we... More

You won't be disappointed by the location of this inn, in a very safe historic area, 10 minute walking to downtown shopping and restaurants. If you are the type that enjoys a quiet breakfast to start your day, beware. You will be served a fantastic three-course gourmet breakfast at the single 9am seating with your fellow guests. Expect to be... More

We decided to get away from Atlanta for a little R & R, and to celebrate my birthday. After shopping over the internet, talking to friends, and getting some recommendations we decided on the 1889 Whitegate Inn. The pictures were magnificent, but did not do the property justice. Steeped in character the Maya Angelou suite was comfortable, and the perfect... More

My fiancé and I were given a weekend stay at the White Gate for Christmas and we booked it right away. After all the holiday madness we were ready to get away and relax. We arrived on Friday and were greeted at the door by a very chipper young man by the name Thomas. He gave us a tour of... More

This breakfast was amazing, hosted by the owner, Ralph. A diverse, well versed and experienced group of travelers made for stimulating and enjoyable conversation. An attentive service of three delicious courses at a stunningly appointed table was enjoyed by all. This 100+ year home has been lovingly retrofited and has retained its charm. A return in spring to enjoy the... More

My 3 sisters and I just got back from staying at the Whitegate Inn in Asheville. Charming B & B and hosts and the rooms and food were equally wonderful. Frank and Ralph (the owners) are gracious hosts and the 3 course breakfast was incredible. Close enough to downtown that you could walk in good weather. Otherwise, it's a 5... More

The Inn was cozy and the suite was very "homey". Nice breakfasts that you pay for with your room. Plan to stay awhile it takes time to eat all that food. Asheville is a great place to visit and I am sure I will go back. It was beautiful with an amazing number of things to do. You won't meet... More

My husband and I stayed here for the last day of our honeymoon and everything was perfect - including how close we were to the Biltmore and downtown Asheville. We stayed in the Maya Angelou suite which included a large shower with multiple shower heads, a spa bath (only downside, the jets didn't work - no biggie), large King size... More

Whitegate is a charming BnB in Asheville. It is nicely furnished and comfortable. I was in Asheville with my 3 sisters and had a lovely 2 bedroom cottage with a kitchen. The breakfasts were outstanding. The staff was very friendly and helpful - directing us to areas of town and restaurants. Other vacationers also very friendly. The daily wine and... More
