We recently stayed at the Cedar Crest Victorian Inn in Asheville, NC. Although the building was an old historical landmark, our room, the Eastlake Room, left a lot to be desired. A shower head was installed in an old tub; there was no rubber mat and it was actually somewhat dangerous to take a shower. I actually got semi-scalded when... More

The guest house my husband and I stayed in was beautifully decorated and cozy as well. The interior of the main house has a lovely historical feel, and the breakfast provided is delicious. The location is convenient to downtown Asheville and we will definitely go back for another stay!

We came to Asheville for my fiancé's sister's wedding at the Biltmore and chose to stay at the Cedar Crest Inn. There was about 15 of us that came from all corners of the US. We couldn't ask for a more perfect place to stay with that size party. We were first greeted and given a quick tour of the... More

I enjoyed our stay at Cedar Crest and would stay there again. At first it was a little awkward when we first arrived because the check in process is a bit odd. Since this is not a typical hotel there is no real "check in" area so you just kind of walk in and wander around until you found someone... More

We loved staying at the Cedar Crest Inn for two nights. We were interested in the history of the place and were not disappointed. The house is exquisitely beautiful and authentically Victorian (estate furniture, decor, silver, etc. and of course original paneling) but it doesn't feel like you need to "be careful." The best part about this B&B experience is... More

Very nice place to stay. Room was clean, pretty, and comfortable. Breakfast was great and they leave baked leftovers out all day so you can have a sweet treat and coffee whenever you want. Breakfast is small and tasty but you can ask for seconds. Very interesting house.

The 1891 Cedar Crest Inn is one of the largest and most opulent residences and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is a magnificent example of Victorian architecture with the most extraordinary wood paneling and carved ceilings and window surrounds and stairs. Over and above the setting, the hospitality and service is worthy of the best... More

What a great experience! We shared the Celebration Suite for a long weekend with our good friends. Cedar Crest is perfectly situated for day jaunts (DuPont State Park with the waterfalls) and shopping, restaurants downtown, art galleries, bookstores (Malaprops!). We ate way too much, including the delicious breakfasts, and really relaxed here. The staff was attentive but not in your... More

Perched on a "crest", this Victorian mansion, a declared historic landmark, is an ideal place for a relaxing getaway. The house is beautiful, its woodwork made by many of the same artisans who worked on the Biltmore mansion. We stayed in the Eastlake Room (second floor, spacious by b&b inn standards), and we appreciated the daily provision of water in... More

My husband and I came here to celebrate our one year anniversary. A bed and breakfast was a first for both of us. We loved it! The manison is stunning. The atmosphere was very relaxed and peaceful. Service was excellent. We did not want to come home. I can't wait to visit here again!
