We met another couple (my wife's best friend from high school, 30+ years removed from graduation) and I can't think of a better place we could have had our rendezvous. We love B&Bs, particularly in the mountains, but the Albemarle Inn was unique - first, in its age, more than 100 years old. And while the location was "in town,"... More

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the Albemarle Inn during our first visit to Asheville. The Innkeeper and staff were welcoming and gracious. The food was excellent. We were treated to wine and cheese on the front porch and had a sumptuous High Tea (so much food they wrapped the leftovers for us to take home!!).... More

After spending the night at another local bed and breakfast, my husband and I decided to stay a night at another inn and picked the Albemarle Inn. We were very glad that we did! The innkeepers were excellent and extremely hospitable. They made our dinner reservations and provided a delightful evening treat of wine and snacks. Our room (Vanity) was... More

As drive up to the inn you will be taken by the incredible magnificent structure. And when you enter the inn you will be memorized by the archetectural interior....jaw dropping beauty. Rosemary is a delightful hostess and phenomenal cook. As fellow inn keepesrs we enjoyed the great service and food ( and took back some great ideas!). Our room was... More

The house itself is beautiful and spacious. I was blown away when I first walked in. I think I would have enjoyed the stay much more had I not been in Bartok's Retreat. The description says that a taller person would not be able to use the bathroom easily because of the low ceiling, and that is true. However, I... More

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay of last Autumn with us. Good news!! We have redecorated the Bartok's Retreat.....gone is the dark black marble sink, and the dark, ominous green walls of the bathroom. It is brite, white, and lemon yellow! Very fresh and modern looking! The bedding and room decor are about to be changed as... More

My family has made the Albemarle Inn something of a home away from home -- that is, if home had ever been so elegant. This year, we spent our first traveling family Christmas -- all ten of us -- at the Inn, and it could not possibly have been lovelier. Rosemary even arranged a fabulous gourmet feast for us. The... My husband and I got married at the Albemarle Inn in July. I will forever remember our wedding as the most magical day/weekend of my life because of the amazing location and staff of this B&B. I literally have nothing negative to say about our experience. The rooms were beautiful and large, the food was delicious, the gardens were beautiful,... More

My husband and I stayed 3 nights at the Albemarle Inn in Asheville. It was charming! There was a covered balcony perfect for relaxing while viewing the beautiful grounds or reading a book. The fireplace in the parlor was very inviting. We enjoyed the canopy poster bed in the Juliet room. The breakfast was gourmet and served in a beautiful... More

We stayed at Albemarle Inn for 3 nights in October. Rose Mary, Llewellen and Ashley were so charming, welcoming and helpful. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. The house is roomy so we felt like we had privacy while still meeting other guests. The mansion is very well maintained and spotlessly clean. The food was delicious. Rose Mary packed a... More

We had an overall weird experience. The ENTIRE stay we felt like we were staying (unwelcomed) at a grumpy elderly couple's home. It is unfortunate to write this but my wife and I along with another couple who are dear friends of ours felt the same way. Would not suggest this place. At all.

We can understand why you were not happy with, us the Innkeepers, and your stay here at the Albemarle Inn this past fall foliage season. You showed up 3 hours past the later end of check-in time, at 10 PM with a baby boy! You never communicated any of this to us. You completely ignored our policies, and lacked consideration... More
