The inkeepers Holly & Richard are great hosts. Very friendly & helpful. Breakfasts were great...eggs, bacon, waffles etc. We had to leave there at 6:30 am this morning. Holly made us "breakfast to go". Each couple got a bag of goodies....muffins, hard boiled eggs, coffee, juice etc. My one criticism...the house is a bit on the shabby side. Could be... More

Stayed at this B&B while my daughter went to freshman orientation at UNC Asheville. The hosts were very friendly, the premises were clean and well kept, and the rooms were good sized and well furnished. The B&B is an older quaint house with no real luxuries, but it has a great location only 5 minutes from town and is quiet... More

We felt that this BnB was delightful. Parking off-street; great host/owner; and delicious breakfasts. What could be better? We stayed in Rose Room #7 which was rather small but had its own bathroom and was certainly adequate and reasonably priced. We were very happy staying in this BnB and highly recommend it to you!

It's a lovely guest house set in a very quiet residential road approx 1 mile from downtown Asheville. Byron the owner could not have been more helpful with his knowledge of the town and surrounding area. He could not do enough to help us with all our questions. The room was very comfortable and breakfast served in the main dining... More

Jim called us around 3:00 in the afternoon to let us know that our room was ready and to let us know how to check in after hours. We were at the Biltmore Estate so we weren't ready to check in just yet. When we finally left for the day I called him back and he gave us directions right... More

We spent three days at the Oakland Cottage B&B while visiting Asheville. The house was charming and inviting. We stayed in the Magnolia Suite which was spacious and comfortable. The rooms were very clean and cozy with thoughtful amenities. Innkeepers Richard and Holly were welcoming and very helpful. We were able to purchase Biltmore and trolley tour tickets right there,... After searching and searching for a decently priced hotel room during a volleyball tournament, I came across Oakland Cottage B&B. I am so glad I did! I, along with the other coach, stayed in Garden Room #5 which had at least triple the space of a hotel room and was much more cozy and welcoming with great amenities including a... More

What a find! The house is beautiful. We had the use of a lovely comfortable lounge. Our bedroom was outstanding, spacious, sumptuously comfortable and very well equipped. We had our own fridge and facilities for making drinks at all times. There was free use of laundering amenities. The breakfasts were amazing.Byron and his wife were very friendly and hospitable. Oakland Cottage is a wonderful B&B, the house itself is very pretty and nicely decorated, the staff are very nice and personable. The house is situated on a quiet street just a mile south of downtown Asheville, and possibly less than a mile from the Biltmore Estate. The breakfasts are great, and they will happily accommodate special dietary requests. We... More

The Oakland Cottage in Asheville, North Carolina is where we stayed for our first three nights of our vacation. It is managed and run by Jim and Mary. We were greeted warmly – like old friends. I knew immediately that we were going to enjoy our stay. Our Room was the Garden Room (Room 5). It’s a spacious room with... More
