Drove down to Asheville from Jersey last May. This was our first time staying at a B&B and we are definitely going to have high expectations from here on out. After a long 12 hour drive, Oakland Cottage was a warm welcome. It was great to see what Asheville had to offer during the day and come back to a... More

The inn keeper Steve was friendly and helpful with directions and information. He serves a yummy breakfast especially the granola with fruit and my favorite the Panettone bread pudding. He is also able to accommodate for some guests' dietary restrictions. We would return to this B&B on our next visit to Asheville.

We booked Oakland for our annual family gathering thanksgiving weekend -- everyone wanted to go to Biltmore this year. I have to say the Oakland visit was the highlight of the weekend!! We all enjoyed being together instead of in hotel rooms, the beds were very comfy, the children were accommodated nicely, the breakfast was superb, and the house was... More

My husband and I spent two nights at this lovely inn, which was close to downtown. The house was built in 1910 and is in excellent condition! We stayed in the Rose Room #8 which was small, quaint and perfect for us! Our room had a comfortable full size bed, large private bathroom and small sitting area. The Inn Keepers... More

We stayed in the Garden Room #5 and the had an Excellent stay! The room was more beautiful then in the pictures and we especially enjoyed watching the resident wildlife including multiple Blue Jays flying around while we sat outside on the private deck off our room. Steve our innkeeper was extremely thoughtful and welcoming, not to mention provided excellent... More

We choose Oakland Cottage due to the proximity of North Lodge, where my daughter was getting married. Our extended family all stayed at Oakland. Steve, the Innkeeper, is an amazingly witty, sincere, and gracious man. Not to mention his wonderful culinary skills. The cottage has a convenient location and all the rooms are charming and you feel right at home... More

We spent 3 nights in the Dogwood Suite; we had a separate sitting room and our own private entrance. The suite, which included a bathroom, was beautifully decorated and the bed was the most comfortable we've ever encountered at a B&B, hotel, etc. The breakfasts were wonderful each day. (Boy, can Holly, the innkeeper, cook!) Our entire stay was most... More

We stayed 3 nights in this B&B and found it to be just delightful! The innkeeper, Steve, was very hospitable and helpful. The room was just fine, and the breakfasts were gourmet. This is a nice location on a quiet street and everything was within 10 minutes drive. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this home to anyone looking... More

Very good location and prices. Popular, so need to book ahead. Breakfast is excellent and a cut above the norm. Pictures provided make it look a bit more modern than it is - it is pretty 'authentic' having been built in very early 20th century. Good parking area and easy access to all the local area.
