After reading others reviews I wonder if we stayed at the same place. I was told there wasn't enough breakfast for my daughter who chose to stay with me for one night. I had informed on checking that this was happening and we even joked about not being too loud since his room was right beneath mine. When another couple... More

First, I should say that this was our first experience at a bed and breakfast, so I was a little leery of what the amenities would be compared to a hotel, given that I enjoy the basic amenities of comfort that a hotel offers. From now on, we'll be staying at bed and breakfasts wherever we travel. Period. We absolutely... More

Whether you want the Biltmore, Arboretum, Arts or the many delicious restaurants in the area...this is the place for you. It is centrally located and the inn keepers are friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. The breakfast was yummy and we did everything we wanted from this central location. Remember, the home was built in 1900's' so if you... More

This B & B is convenient to everything - Biltmore, Grove Park, shopping, restaurants. The host, Steve, is welcoming but unobtrusive. He cooks a fabulous breakfast every morning. Our sweet was darling. We will definitely return.

Came for the weekend to gain an "Asheville experience," were surprised to learn about the history and architecture of the home. The innkeeper, Steve, was extremely informative and welcoming. The home was charming and the location was convenient to the Biltmore estate and downtown Asheville. The only downside is that the "rose room" became extremely hot at night. The innkeeper... More

So the trip started as a surprise trip for my wife's birthday. Booking and talking to the folks at Oakland cottage was a breeze. They helped me organize the entire trip a month or more ahead of time. I got my accommodations, Christmas Package Biltmore tickets, and basic itinerary all through the helpful inn keeper. Upon arrival we were greeted... More

The Oakland Cottage was the ideal place for a last minute trip to Asheville. The rate was reasonable and flexible; the option to book for one night was appreciated! Our suite was perfect and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the company was lovely. We will stay here again when we return!

We picked Oakland Cottage because of it's convenience, and were so happy with the decision. The whole experience was warm and inviting. I had a two day intensive CEU class to take, and wanted a more safer, more inviting home base for my family than a chain hotel. The Dogwood Room suited our needs perfectly with the second sleeping area,... More

My mother and I stayed in the Magnolia Room, which has plenty of space for two people. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast each morning was wonderful, and the innkeepers were all friendly and helpful. This was a terrific place to relax. We will definitely return.

We had a wonderful time staying at Oakland! Steve was so nice and made us feel so welcome. He made fantastic breakfast in the morning and made sure we had a fire going every night in the fireplace. It was such a personalized experience and the fact that he knew our names made it feel like a special stay. We... More
