OMG if you are seeking a great rate at a hotel that sits just outside the main drag of Asheville, NC then look at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. “Not the best location and not very soundproof..”

We were unfortunate to stay in the crowne in an extremely busy weekend with weddings, a prom and several conventions. We were woken up several times at night because of other guests returning to their rooms and dogs barking in the room (!!). “Great Choice for a Four Day Visit to Asheville”

I was a little put off by a few of the reviews regarding the Crowne Plaza. I'm very glad that I decided to ignore them. The staff couldn't have been kinder and more attentive; the grounds are lovely; the location is perfect; and being dog-friendly was just an added benefit. Overall, a very good experience.

“Wedding planners, be careful booking block”

“Pleasant stay close to the downtown area”

I was in Asheville for a business meeting at the Renaissance downtown. Fortunately I had a car although the Crowne Plaza was only a five-ten minute drive. The accommodations were adequate, not quite as luxurious as some of the other locations in town.

We were fortunate as we booked thru Hot Wire. Our room was lovely. The bedding was most definitely 4 Star. Must say, we didn't have a view, but that was not a problem. They offered a shuttle downtown for $5 round trip. Was sorry I didn't take advantage of that because downtown Asheville is lovely. Lots of art, cute shops.... More
