My husband and I decided to make a November visit to Asheville to experience the Biltmore at Christmas! The Crooked Oak is one of our favorite places to stay but we had never been there this late in the year. The weather may have been cold outside, but inside it was warm and inviting! We loved sitting in front of... More

My sister and I finally decided at the last minute to go to Asheville for a 2 day respite between Christmas and New Year's. We spent a rediculous amount of time trying to find a place that fit our wishes. All were booked, or rediculously expensive. After practically giving up, we started over the next day and found 1 room... More

My spouse and I stayed two nights at the Crooked Oak Mountain Inn in October. This was our first trip to Asheville and we couldn't have chosen a more beautiful and tranquil place to stay. Prepare to drive up through a residential neighborhood with twisting (but not frightening) turns along the way; it is well worth the drive. The inn... More

As my family has started to spread across the US, our reunion at the Crooked Oak for Thanksgiving was the quiet, beautiful time away we all needed to reconnect. Bear and Patti were such magnificent hosts, catering to everything from a nice glass of wine in the late afternoon to my son's recent venture into vegetarianism. Breakfast every morning ...... More

I got to spend another few days at the Crooked Oak Mountain Inn, this time in November. I stayed twice in the summer. The scenery was awesome. Trees in the mountains and Asheville city lights at night looking down from the mountain was simply gorgeous! I so enjoyed staying at the Inn as always! The hospitality is simply the best!... More

My husband and I have stayed in a lot of B&B's and this one is definitely one of the top 2!!! The only thing missing was bears. No wait...there is a bear.........or Bear! Our host is named Bear and he is more like a Teddy Bear. :) We were met by him upon arrival and treated with warmth and friendliness.... More

I have stayed in a few bed and breakfasts through the years, and I can say that I have never had a more wonderful experience than here. I felt as though the stress of every day life was a million miles away. Bear was so accommodating and gracious and friendly. We felt welcome from the first step into this unique... More

The epitome of what a Bed and Breakfast can and should be. My girlfriend and I traveled to Asheville for a conference. We arrived at the Crooked Oak Mountain Inn, where we were promptly greeted by Bear and Patti. Both were warm and welcoming from the get go. We were given a tour of the adorable mountain house, given an... More
