Staying at Crooked Oak is an absolutely wonderful experience. We always meet 3 other couples there for a weekend get away. Patti and Bear tend to our every need. There are several gathering areas, inside the house and outside. Outside is particularly nice with the pond and waterfall. Afternoon snacks and beverages are provided. Bear's breakfast is always yummy be... More

We had the pleasure of staying at the Crooked Oak Mountain in for four nights recently, during August 2014. Really, the experience was perfect - excellent - wonderful. Patti and Bear are warm, welcoming people. It's like staying with family or close friends. Our every needs was looked after - from special dietary requests, to extra toiletries, to directions to... Had a great time for a quick one night layover in Asheville. Patti and Bear are wonderful hosts and the inn has such a cozy and accommodating feel. The outside patio was great with the fountains and views ... spent most of my time out there.

Patti and Bear are great hosts; very personable and interesting, knowledgeable about Asheville restaurants and activities, are there if you need them but also respect your privacy if you just want to sit in the rocker and chill out. Their breakfasts are awesome and they love to spoil their guests. The inn itself is at the top of Patton Mountain... More

We had a wonderful weekend here. The accommodations and atmosphere were great; the breakfast was wonderful; and the two bears on the path - very exciting! We'll be back for snow and the Chestnut Room.

We visited with Patti and Bear for the third time and included our daughter and son-in-law. We have used B&B's in many parts of the country and with out a doubt the atmosphere and the innkeepers attentio to detail are the best. If you want a getaway this is the one!

As a first time b&b guest, I was blown away by the entire experience ! Having never experienced staying at a b&b I had my doubts; however, I was open to the experience as my girlfriend had raved so much about her time at Crooked Mountain Inn. From the moment of arrival to our last parting, it was The Best... More

We had a wonderful two days at Crooked Oak Mountain Inn unwinding and relaxing after a few days of touring and driving. We saw two bears. The first one was great at cooking waffles in the morning and the other was exploring the side of the mountain in search of a gourmet dinner. The accommodations were fantastic and the attention... Arriving the second day after a long distance flight to Atlanta this beautiful place was just an awesome hideway. We booked the chestnut suite for a family of four. Everything was clean. The suite was spacious and comfortable enough for us. However, the innkeepers, Patti and Bear, even offered us a complimentary second room for our two kids. We were... More

This is the second time I have stayed at the Crooked Oak Mountain Inn. It is hard to put into words the satisfaction I feel about this gem, but I will try. I feel great peace and joy when I stay here which is partly due to the seclusion of the setting, the beauty of the B & B itself,... More
