A big thank you to Bear and Patti for making us feel comfortable and welcome from the second we entered this beautiful and serene B&B. This is a truely unique and wonderful place and we send our warmest recommendations. Perfect room, perfect surroundings, excellent breakfast and wonderful people. What more can you ask for. And a special thanks to Millie,... More

We have been wanting to explore Asheville for many years and the Artisan Bread Festival and workshop provided an excellent opportunity for our first visit. While the festival and workshop were amazing and Asheville has so much to offer from all things fermented (bread and beer!), the arts, outdoor adventures and the culinary scene - the Crooked Oak Mountain Inn... We just enjoyed a wonderful and relaxing trip to Crooked Oak Mountain Inn. Patti and Bear are friendly and personable hosts in a lovely mountain setting. Breakfast is delicious and a great way to start the day exploring Asheville and the surrounding mountains. This is our second stay and hope to have many more to come! Jim and Adrianne Day

Thanks so much to Patti and Bear for a wonderful 30th Anniversary weekend! They could not have been more accomodating and the setting was beautiful and very comfortable. It was really like staying with old friends. Breakfast was outstanding, we did not eat lunch the whole weekend! We will be back!

We had a wonderful one night visit. Owners are most hospitable! They even made dinner reservations for us! Unique setting on a mountain road. Bear made the best waffles we have ever eaten with fresh fruit and eggs. House is warm and inviting. You have lots of room to wander about. Outside has a patio and even trails to walk... More

Bear and Patti are the consummate host and hostess, but they are more than that! They become your friends, and as such, they do everything to make your stays pleasant, comfortable, and then they feed you a gourmet breakfast, too! It is a combination you just don't find very often anywhere else. This was our third visit, as we come... More

Great 3 night stay at Crooked Oak. We felt that we had a home away from home stocked with snacks, a guitar for my husband to play, movies, games, books and magazines and a cozy chair beside the fire. Each morning began with a breakfast so sublime we didn't even need lunch- juice, fruit, homemade granola, eggs, bacon, purple potatoes,... More

Thoughtful touches abound at Crooked Oak Mountain Lodge (5,000 plus square foot residence) and the hospitality is genuine. We enjoyed the Willow Suite with its comfortable bed, pleasant sitting area and private veranda. Down the hall a guest's lounge with fireplace, large screen TV/DVD with extensive movie collection, and a refrigerator filled with bottled water and sodas provided a nice... More

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary and we loved it. The location is peaceful with gorgeous views. It was so relaxing we didn't want to leave. And everyday starts right with a delicious and filling breakfast. We looks forward to returning next year.
