After our camping plans got rained out, a friend recommended the Log Cabin Motor Court to my husband and I. Once we arrived, we couldn't imagine a better place to spend our 1 year wedding anniversary. Quaint, simple with a fantastic location. It wasn't as remote as I imagined but tucked enough away from the road. VERY reasonable for the... more

We stayed at the Log Cabin Motor Court because we were traveling from Pennsylvania to pick up a Welsh Terrier puppy near Asheville. It was truly a great American experience-It was like stepping back in time to the 1930's. The cabins are immaculately clean and the bathrooms very functional. If you are looking for good basic lodgings (no frills) and... more

We came down from Pittsburgh with our two greyhounds and had the most relaxing time. The owners were extremely kind and friendly, the women that took care of the cabins were fun to talk to and paid attention to details. You forget your so close to the city! Dont expect bells and whistles,(your in a cabin), expect to be treated... more

My husband and & I got married in Asheville on June 23, 1999. Ten years later, for our anniversary, we wanted to go back and relive some of the memories. When he told me where we would be staying, all I could say was WHAT? A log cabin? My idea of a vacation is a fancy hotel, breakfast buffet, an... more

We have always stayed in motels on all of our travels, but this being our tenth anniversary and ten years since our last trip to Asheville, we wanted something memorable. I had started looking into "bed and breakfast" lodging, when I ran across the ad for this motor court. The cabins are 70 years-old with uneven floors and nothing is... more

In anticipation of leaving humid Florida next summer, I wanted to check out all areas and types of lodging in Asheville . I got a two bedroom cabin which suited my needs especially since I also brought my two cats. The cabin was clean, had a kitchen, fireplace, and a bathroom large enough not to give me claustrophia! The location... more

It it was nice and clean. It reminded me of the places my family would stay at when we were kids. We were close to the Asheville and the rafting trips. The cabins were actually in THUNDER ROAD. It was a happy place to be. Take advantages of the German restaurant in front and the wheat beers. more

We stayed at the Log Cabin Motor Court on April 16th and 17th in Cabin #9- Happy Haven. Since Asheville is such a dog friendly town, we wanted to take our two pooches with us. I read the reviews posted here and decided to give these cabins a try. I am so glad we did. First off, they are located... more

Whether spending a weekend or a week, this charming retreat has almost everything a dog-lover need. Yet, personally I wanted a bit more. The lodge is very conveniently located less than 5 miles away from Asheville Downtown. Each cabin provides enough privacy and plenty of parking. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. Our late arrival was easily arraigned. There... more
