My wife, dog and I had a great experience at the 1930s Log Cabin Motor Court. It's in a quiet location just 5 to 10 minutes North of Downtown Asheville and maybe 20 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Susie helped me greatly over the phone. We had Kozy Kabin #2 which was closest to the road but still quiet.... More

I had high hopes of this 1930s style log motor court, and it looked good: fairy tale log cottages set in the trees. But, my dears, the smell of gas! There was a stone fireplace for a log fire, a small kitchen, rudimentary but serviceable, two large beds, a shower . . . but the central heating unit in the... More

This is not a five star resort but it is 6 miles from downtown Asheville. There is also a Bavarian restaurant at just a few minutes walk from any cabin your rent. These cabins are very modest and rustic but the people are awesome, you can bring your dog, and it is a lot of fun. Not for those that... More

The cabin is just like me. Old and rustic. Perfect in all ways that matter. A journey back in time that just can't be found at your motels made of ticky tacky that all look just the same. Made me want to jump in a 50's ford and head down the highway. Only complaint was my own damn fault. Low... More

For the money, should have been nicer. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Cabin had everything indicated on website and in working order. Place was very clean and some small attempts at art work were charming. However, the cabin we stayed in has been upgraded through the years but with poor craftsmanship. While it is difficult to upgrade an... More

Dear 92balance96, The Log Cabin Motor Court (aka The Asheville Cabins) is an unique, historical treasure. Built in 1930 these cabins attract loyal customers season after season, year after year, generation after generation. You wrote that “For the money, should have been nicer.” Based on many years of guest reviews (and market research), the Log Cabin Motor Court is arguably... More

The cabin we stayed in was Lazy Dazy. It had 2 twins, but we were able to move them together. The room includes coffee maker and small fridge. It was clean, and quiet, and had a nice front porch with rocking chairs. Enjoyed our stay, and would stay again.

This amazing 1930's vintage log cabin motor court is an endangered species. This largely original gem is clean, well maintained and extraordinarily well preserved. This place reeks with rustic charm and history. Being a child of the fifties, I relished staying where "Thunder Road" with Robert Mitchum was filmed in 1958. If you are looking for a new, modern motel... More

If you're looking for just a room for the night(s) near Asheville, you likely can find another motel that is same price or cheaper. BUT, if you want a fun, throw back in time experience, then staying here at the Log Cabin will suit you great!. Each of the individual cabins are as cute as can be .. . .... More

We stayed in cabin 11, Mountain Dew, it was clean and charming with its patchwork quilts and cozy beds, a little too rustic for our taste but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were outstanding, they loved our dog and always had a treat for her when we allowed it. Even though our cabin didn't have a kitchen they... More

I stayed in cabin No.8 with my husband and two girls. It was a lovely cute cabin but a bit smaller that I was expecting. Nevertheless we had a lovely stay. I had ordered wood for the fire but was told they didn't have any so we went to the supermarket down the road and bought some. The cabin had... More
