My trouble started when I made a negative comment about the parking situation in front of the campground office to the woman behind the desk. (After reading other reviews, my Bear Creek experience follows a reoccurring pattern. ) I was told by another woman----maybe manager or owner----that I was not a happy camper...I was not organized (?)....she did not want... I am not sure how this place remains in business. I have stayed here for 3 months and have witnessed one of the rudest and most unprofessional business owners in action. Initially I felt that the owner was the sweetest lady, but it didn't last long. As soon as I had a problem her whole demeanor changed. I kept having... More

Made reservations two months in advance for sites on their ridge with beautiful views. The actual sites were not guaranteed but they told us we would definitely be on sites on the ridge with the beautiful views. When we arrived, our sites were indeed occupied and owner said there were no other available sites on the ridge with the view... More

We were traveling across the country from Utah, and had called this RV park a week in advance. We wanted to spend one month in Asheville because we were searching for a place to buy land. We inquired about their monthly rate and they gave us a somewhat reasonable price. We had been traveling all day and when we got... More

We stayed at Bear Creek for 3 nights and the people who run the campground were very friendly and helpful. It is conveniently located close to I -40 and as we were visiting Biltmore Estate is only one exit away. We weren't at the campground much during the day, but it was quiet at night and a nice place to... More

We are pop up campers and online this place looked good--especially since we needed to be in Asheville for a race and wanted to be close. The sites are cramped, there is very little open space and the backyard is I40. We were up the entire first night hearing traffic from I 40 and we could smell the sewer from... More

I would stay here only for an overnight rest. RV's are extremely close to each other. The wireless internet is not so great. Hard to get a connection and when you get one you loose it quickly. The cable is iffy at best. There is no place for your pet to walk or take care of its business. Not a great... More

The pool looked nice (a little too cool to use it), the showers across the way were nice(there are also some next to the pool but a little older condition), the laundy was clean but small. The cable TV connection was good. Our paved RV site (P3) was not level (slanted to the back). Big rigs (we have 21' Roadtrek)... More

We pulled into Bear Creek RV Park after a 600 + mile trip in one day....tired, hungry and ready for a break. I had booked two RV sites a couple of months in advance and, since we were only staying one night, had prepaid the entire amount. When we arrived at about 9 p.m., the woman at the desk told... More
