Despite the negative reviews, we booked our stay here because of the closeness to everything in Asheville. I am so happy we didn't listen to the "nit-picky" & negative reviews. The staff was amazingly helpful in directing us around town & recommending places to eat. Our site had a beautiful view of the mountains. The pool was open, clean &... More

For a business in the service of hospitality, they don't get it. My husbandthe two dogs and I drove in from PA. Called when we were three hours out (1:30pm) to tell them that we would be there about 4:30-5:00. We were told no one would be there to check us in but, they would leave a map on the... More

The location of this site near to Asheville is excellent........but it all goes downhill from there. The 'pull-through' locations are immediately adjacent to Bear Creek Road - actually outside of the main area of the site - with passing local traffic 20 feet away from the front of your rig. Apart from the lack of privacy - you would not... More

The location, location, location is great...the rest is quite disappointing. The sites extremely close, the common facilities are very run down, the laundry was the most expensive we have ever paid, and the owners literally pack extra rigs in wherever they could, adding to the congestion. While the location is great for the community, it is so close to the... More

Our 20 RV caravan of retired military members of SMART Special Military Recreational Travelers had a great stay. Super clubhouse with a beautiful view of the mountains. The office staff..Glenda and Missy were very helpful as well as the owner Harry.

The people are super nice! The bathhouses needed cleaning more often and the campsites are a little tight. The interstate noise is loud when you are outside but in the rv we heard nothing. The biggest disappointment was no campfires and limited safe places to walk the dogs.

We have a small 20-foot travel trailer. Easy to accommodate, right? You'd think so. But there were all kinds of issues with this place. Price--$40/$45 a night. Most sites we had encountered on a month-long tour of the southern/Midwest areas were between $18 and $30 a night. Condition of site--Very cramped and hardly level. It was practically built on a... We arrived here on September 27th and plan to stay two days to visit the Biltmore. I put the address in the GPS and upon arrival on S. Bear Creek Rd, I see a sign that says "EXIT" to the park so I continue down the road to a hairpin turn. Having a 42 foot Class A and towing a... More

Normally when we visit Asheville we have our go to place to stay but we thought we would try something new. This camp ground though nice is laid out very strangely. The entrance is very tricky and there are different levels in which you have to drive around houses to get to your site. We stayed on the lower level,... More

We had a great stay at the park. First, the people managing the park were very welcoming, which always makes me happy. Bear Creek is located close to everything! Anywhere we wanted to go was a just a short drive. You have to pay attention when first entering Bear Creek as it can be a bit tricky. The park is... More
