We went for a two day visit to Asheville for the BrewGrass festival. Great location, we parked the car and did not move it all weekend. The hotel is nice, clean and staff is friendly. It is an older hotel so the rooms are not as big as most modern hotels but they are just fine. We paid for the... More

The guest rooms and lobby are dated need a serious make over. Our room and bathroom were not clean at all. There was dust caked on the walls and wires. There was mold in the shower. The carpet was stained! This hotel is not worth the money!!!!!! I don't know how they can justify the pricing. We were told we... More

Popped into Asheville for a weekend wedding. This was where the rest of the party was staying, so I didn't spend any time looking into other hotels in the area. I was pleasantly surprised with the price and high quality of the hotel. I would consider it a 4.5 or 5 star hotel for the service, cleanliness and interior decor.... More

OK hotel in downtown Asheville. Can't beat the location. Room and very small bathroom are out dated and need badly to be refreshed. Expensive for what you get compared to other Marriott hotels. Our room was located next to a vending/ice machine and very noisy. Otherwise, everything was clean, good mattress. Very helpful and friendly staff.

This Renaissance is a comfortable, clean hotel. Everyone we dealt with was super friendly and helpful. Great little bar area with delightful bartenders. The room was an average size; the bathroom was small. BUT, what truly sells this hotel is that you can walk to downtown and all it has to offer. Location is everything!

Hotel is fine - not glamorous - older - but fine. Clean, etc. The gym is very good - much better than average. Towels in the room very good as well. Concierge lounge lacks vs. other hotels - they need bottled water, Perrier, and more robust product. The restaurant - well how does a nice restaurant in a hotel not... More

The Renaissance Asheville is very convenient to downtown placing you within walking distance to a plethora of local shops and restaurants. Parking is free which is becoming more rare these days and the staff upon check-in was extremely pleasant and helpful. The property itself was clean and nice but dated as some have mentioned. They have a great patio to... More

If you are looking to explore downtown Asheville, this Renaissance is a great home base. The rooms are very nice and updated, with nice views. The hotel itself is well-maintained. Self-parking makes it easy to get in and out. From the parking lot, you have easy and direct access to Walnut Street and the downtown area. We will certainly return... More

Stayed one night on business trip. Room included king bed overlooking parking lot to the north. Room was clean but tv did not function. Bath was small. Asked for one hour extended check out but was turned down. Very convenient to downtown. Walkable to most destinations. Staff were professional and friendly. This is an older hotel, however it generally appear... More

The hotel offers free parking and is a convenient location for walking throughout downtown Asheville. There is a colorful décor throughout, but the hotel is showing its age. Rooms have popcorn ceilings and very noisy window air conditioners. Bathrooms have granite countertops but very old, tired tile in the baths. There is a Club Lounge on the top floor serving... More
