We had a great time staying here over Easter weekend 2015. The hotel staff was excellent! There was a minor hiccup with our reservation (apparently the fact that we brought our dog with us hadn't been selected) but they were very accommodating and worked to get us into a room with our dog. Multiple times we asked the front desk... More

This hotel is vintage Marriott where employees are well trained and organized. Plus, this location is extremely close to the bars & restaurants, and the center of town. The breakfast was point-on with great coffee. The weaker aspects our of stay; our room was narrow (two queens). The property must be aged because in our room, two people could not... More

Beautiful lobby and common areas. Reminds me of a boutique hotel. Staff were great, rooms were clean. Rooms are smaller than newer properties, but it is an older building that has been renovated. Besides, you want to be out and about in Asheville and not in a hotel room. If you want a great place downtown with great views of... More

Location is perfect as most of the people here keep saying… Yes the bathroom is small, but that is not a big deal. They actually have original artwork in the rooms! There is also a small refrigerator, which is very nice. As far as the price, well, it is okay, I would not say it is a super-value, but I... More

We were happy with our room, the staff and service. We would definitely return again. So appreciated they did not charge for parking as most Marriott city hotels do. Our room upgrade came as a surprise and we were very thankful. Not so happy with the on site restaurant for dinner. Perhaps we ordered incorrectly. Improvement to the menu selection... More

To start this off, I have to say that, the Poor front desk service at check in is what killed it for me. And to be honest, it was only one of the staff members that ruined this stay. But I will try not to harp on this. The restaurant that is located on the property was very professional. I... More

I was there for 3 days at a conference. Rooms have been remodeled and were very nice. Front desk especially ZEB was the best!! Very courteous and helpful no matter what we needed. Gift shop lady at night was rude and not nice. We felt like she was watching our every move like we were shoplifters. Food was great and... More

This hotel was very disappointing. The room was small, furnishings were worn and the bathroom ceiling was moldy. I could list a few more standard comforts that fell short but our final contact with the hotel really reveals their attitude toward visitors. When we got to our car in the parking lot the battery was dead. My husband went back... More

My wife and I enjoyed three nights at this centrally located, well-maintained, customer-friendly hotel. Free parking is a rarity in large hotels anymore and once we parked, we were able to walk everywhere we wanted in downtown Asheville. The hotel is also very convenient to the interstate and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Special compliments to Elizabeth at the front desk... More

Very comfortable bed and a large room. Great location - within walking distance of a lot of restaurants and shops in the downtown area. Not much parking in front of the hotel, but lot more in the back of the hotel. Nice that parking is free, it isn't in a lot of downtown locations. Short drive to the Biltmore estate... More
