For $50 a night for a private room in the heart of downtown with free parking and breweries and restaurants within walking distance, what's not to love? Rooms were clean and I never had an issue with noise. If you haven't been, Asheville is a cool town. Maybe my favorite city/town on the east coast!

I stayed at ALOFT the last time I wanted to stay right in downtown. This place is only two blocks away.....at 1/3 the cost. This was first time staying anything other than hotels when I travel, but it didn't disappoint. I had stayed at "tiny house" which is a converted shack behind the house. It is self-contained with its own... More

My brother and I enjoyed our stay in a bedroom with two beds. Very clean. Nice, helpful staff. Good location. Had to wait once to use the restroom. Other guests were nice. Great price. Would book again!

We enjoyed our stay at the hostel. We kept our expectations in line with hostel lodging and were more than satisfied - clean rooms, hot water, friendly and knowledgable host, affordable, close to downtown yet quiet neighborhood, decent mattress, and well enforced 10pm quiet time. Much value for low rates!

My boyfriend and I stayed in the "couples" room for one night (a Monday night). We were driving north from the coast and thought it'd be cool to check out Asheville for the night. Asheville Hostel is perfectly located: two blocks off the main street where it's peaceful and quiet, but close enough to walk the entire city. We found... More

My boyfriend and I stayed in the bungalow for two nights. Can't beat the location or the price. Hotels downtown were asking for a minimum of $300 per night where the bungalow was only $80. Well worth the money. Only complaint was that the bed was kind of uncomfortable.

My S.O and I stayed here for a concert down the road. Since it has a great location, we didn't have to worry about being rushed or getting stuck in traffic on our way to the venue. The rooms are super basic with the bare necessities like towels, pillows, and sheets. Everything is clean and organized. We only had two... More

So this was our first hostile stay, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The place was clean - We stayed in the room with a queen size bed and a bunk bed. That's all they had, so we got lucky with scoring a larger room. We were greeted and given a tour as we walked in and felt safe... More

Asheville Hostel is actually two buildings along Ravenscroft drive. I stayed in #16, upstairs. The hostel is an old house converted into a hostel. It has a spacious kitchen area, but is somewhat limited in terms of cups and dishes. Rooms and bathrooms are comfortable, but nothing spectacular. Overall I would rate the hostel between a 3 and 4, but... More

I had never stayed in a hostel before staying at the Asheville Hostel & Guest House so I was a little worried when we arrived. But that concern quickly dissipated. Not only was the price great, but the hosts were very easy going & accomodating. Rarely was the bathroom occupied, actually we rarely even saw other guests while we were... More
