From the outside this hotel may look like your typical 2 star hotel, however the rooms are surprisingly modern. The location is right in downtown Asheville, amongst shops, bars, and good food. I usually stick to at least a 4 star, however this hotel is a great find. If you like comfortable and location, give this hotel a try.

We stayed here for five nights on our first time in Asheville. It was recommended by friends. It turned out be exactly as described. No it is not a four star hotel, but it provides a great place to stay convenient to everything Asheville has to offer. It. Very clean although has a rundown appearance. The beds were very comfortable and... More

The purpose of my Asheville visit was simple: relax, enjoy and experience the city’s excellent brewery scene. Asheville was named Beer City for three successive years. The most responsible way to do this was to find a convenient base of operations, one adjacent to the many breweries and accessible to public transit since I had no intention of driving. Now... More

We stayed here on Saturday night while in town for a wedding. We come to Asheville often but this was the first time we stayed here. The hotel is dated and shows its age. However we found it to be comfortable, clean and very reasonably priced! The owner and staff we very friendly and accommodating. We arrived way before normal... More

We stayed here on a busy weekend when all other hotels were $450+ per night - this hotel was much more reasonable. While the rooms were old, lobby was a bit depressing looking and the room doors are situated against a busy street, the location was great. We could walk everywhere we wanted to be within a few minutes. One... More

We stayed for 1 night at the downtown inn for a concert at the U.S. Cellurlar Center. Location could not have been any better. 5 minute walk to the concert venue and literally around the corner from some really great restaurants, shops and breweries. The rooms were okay, clean, just dated. But the bed was comfy and the heat worked... More

I stayed here on a Friday when all other rooms in the downtown area were costing around $350 and up. I paid around $140 for a king bedded room. The location can't be beat. Very convenient to walking all areas of downtown. The hotel is older, with a bare bones lobby. It does have outside corridors, which I don't generally... More

Welcome was efficient and friendly so check in was smooth. Our room,208, was on the busy road side but it didn't really upset us. We slept soundly in our perfectly clean and spacious room. Big plus for having the washbasin separate from the bathroom. Also big plus for laundry facilities too. Some problems with wifi but it was sorted promptly... More

My son moved to Asheville and recommended Downtown Inn for our visit. My husband and I brought our 9 lb dog. Our room was spotless and comfortable. The hotel is nothing to look at, but perfectly clean and pleasant. The location was perfect for exploring the area and enjoying downtown life. The only downside is the nearest potty area for...
