Our family had a great experience at the Downtown!! This is NOT a resort or business or high end place. It's a good bed, a clean room with very friendly staff. No other place will give you free eggs, waffles and biscuits to start your day!!! Yes, it's fast food and that's all my kids need to start their day... More

You really cannot beat the location of the Downtown Inn & Suites. Walking distance from so many great breweries and right in the heart of downtown. Walking distance from the Orange Peel. You seriously can't touch the location. And the price is typically 1/3 to a 1/2 of what all the other hotels are charging for downtown. That being said,... More

Great location, great price, the Visitors Center steered us to this. We walked everywhere from here. I would make a reservation, since it sold out later in the afternoon. It's basic, but had everything we needed including a bargain price. They served breakfast in a large dining room, there was a nice pool. Next time we go, we will just... More

We stayed here as it was in a great location, we could walk into town in the evening and lots of places to visit close by. Loved the pool but the hotel is in need of updating. The breakfast was very poor ( we went out after first morning ). The staff were very nice and helpful.

Maybe the problems were always here—come to think of it, there was that malfunctioning AC on one of my stays—but seduced by the location and reasonable price, I came back. Room stuffy, AC didn’t work. Need to call desk. Phone not working, either. Called the hotel on my cell. The desk clerk was supposed to activate the HVAC but forgot... More

Trip Advisor's Reviewers Recomedations of the Downtown Inn & Suites were right on target about this hotel. It is indeed right in the middle of Asheville's funky downtown area, making it a superior place to stay in contrast to the outlying hotels. You can enjoy visiting Asheville's breweries knowing you do not have to crank up your car to get... More

This classic motor hotel appears to have been time-warped into 21st century Asheville from the early 1960's. The architecture and appointments appear 'almost' original, but we found everything we encountered to be in great shape, very clean and completely functional. The owners and staff obviously take great pride in maintaining this establishment. The location is convenient to downtown Asheville and... More

We booked this place purely for the location. It feels more like a motel than a hotel. The rooms open directly to the outside. Parking is horrible. There's almost nothing available and the spots are so tight that you can barely get in and out. The staff was rude and my total cost was higher than what they quoted me... More

Great location and price, but could use some TLC. The staff were friendly and accommodating with early check-in. The breakfast selection was decent for being included. The Wifi was spotty at times but it worked fine if you switched between networks. Used 10% AAA discount.
