This past weekend we spent three nights at Lyssa Cross’ Mountain Laurel Bed & Breakfast http://www.mountainlaurelbnb.com/. What a fantastic, reasonably priced place to stay! It's location was perfect, just 25 minutes from downtown Asheville with lots of hiking, waterfalls and other nature activities within an hour (loved apple picking at skytop orchard!). The deck is awesome! Rooms, grounds, etc. were exactly as shown in the pics. Clean home/rooms, king beds, private baths for all. Breakfast was... More

This place is GREAT!! Everything is just as it looks in the pictures, however, the pictures do it no justice. It's the perfect little spot sitting atop a mountain with the most beautiful views. The rooms are clean and smell fresh. The common area/living room is breathtaking. Lyssa, the proprietor obviously takes so much pride in making sure her place... More

I spent my birthday weekend at Mt. Laurel B&B and I could not have asked for a better place to stay. These pictures do not do it enough justice! It is soooo much more beautiful in person. The rooms are all spot less, cozy and spacious. Lyssa provides you with tons of reading material, movies and games. Provided THE most... More

The setting is beautiful with a huge balcony where you can sit and enjoy the surrounding mountains and enjoy the hundreds of "dueling" hummingbirds. The rooms were lovely and private. A... More

Beautiful place, wonderful get-away. Close enough to everything you want to see and do, but far away enough to feel serene and peaceful.

Wonderful gay-friendly place to stay when visiting the Asheville area. It's located on a mountain top and has amazing views. Beautiful and cozy place, awesome breakfasts and wonderful hospitality. I miss it already and can't wait to go back!
