Clean, comfortable, and centrally located in downtown. My one complaint is the open floor plan. It's odd and noisy. There was someone up at the crack of dawn cooking (I kid you not) brussel sprouts for breakfast. Since there is not a true wall, you get to experience all the smells and sounds from the kitchen, which is not fantastic.... More

We stayed at Sweat Peas Hostel for two nights on October 2012. Very clean and organized hostel. Cleanliness is top for me. Very conveniently located in center of town, next door to a martini bar which is great! No need to drink and drive! Very decently priced. The only draw back is the loud music from the bar next door....... More

I've stayed twice already. It's super cute, clean and friendly. It's close to everything and you're right off the main strip if you want to go out for a bite. It's a bit loud from the pub below so, if you're a light sleeper, it might be a bit loud for you. I absolutely LOVE the pods! You close the... More

For budget travelers, like me, this was an excellent hostel; one of the best I have stayed in. It had an open floorplan, tables to sit at to eat or read, big screen TV with nice sitting area and "library" of books and DVD's, free wifi, free filtered water, and good, clean showers. In fact, that was what impressed me... More

Only stayed here one night, but it was really nice. There were 4 of us and we were put in a semi-private room with 2 other guests (who we did not see during our stay). We didn't spend too much time at the hostel but I did find it comfortable, clean, and it was a good location for us (we... More

I recently stayed at Sweet Peas while traveling solo for 3 nights in Asheville. For $60 I had a very simple, but nice private room all to myself. Arriving on Saturday night, I definitely made use of my ear plugs because of the music from the bar downstairs; but after sampling several breweries that afternoon evening, I fell right asleep.... Great place...staff could not have been more welcoming. Super clean and great vibe. Perfect location if you love the Asheville night life...yet nice and quiet when you are ready to call it a night. I booked the private room and slept like a baby. So happy to have discovered this place.

Have called to try and book a space there on two separate occasions. Haven't actually been able to stay here though. The first time the woman that answered was rude, and I still would have booked the bunk bed if I hadn't found better on AirBnB. The second time a younger woman hung up one me after telling me they... Stayed here July 4th weekend. The staff were unfailingly courteous from initial phone call to check-in and check-out. Location couldn't really be better for being central and within walking distance to all of the downtown area. The hostel is very well laid out to optimize space and comfort. The facilities are excellent from kitchen to lounge-around area to showers, laundry... More
