We are actually less than 45 minutes away from Sourwood, but try to stay each year. It is a great place to recharge your batteries when "life" gets in your way. Everyone is wonderful and the food is remarkable. Go easy on the afternoon snacks if you have dinner reservations at the inn. Otherwise you will not be able to... More

We've stayed at the Sourwood Inn for years and go back every year. We have stayed in the inn itself, where the style is Arts and Crafts. The rooms are spacious, beautiful and each one has a fireplace and balcony overlooking the woods. Lately, we have been staying in the Cabin, very secluded and a little bit rustic. It has a... More

Restful, renewing, and remarkable, this little inn is on my list for a repeat visit soon! Fireplaces in every bedroom as well as the living room, dining room, library, and game room invite serious couch time. This is dangerous as the dinners are delicious, the bread is, well, I ate as much as they brought and the second basketful too!... More

All inn keepers are personable and nice, its the nature of their business. I can honestly say that all of the people at Sourwood Inn are truly the nicest, warmest, most genuine I've ever met. That seems to be the overwhelming culture of Asheville as well. Fantastic location, gorgeous grounds, meandering well-kept trails and the views are breath-taking. Coffee was... More

Very nice hotel. Clean, modern but with a vintage twist. Rooms are beautiful. Bathrooms are roomy and modern. Every room has a view of the trees surrounding this hotel. Away from the city but near enough to enjoy if you must. More

This Inn is amazing. My girl friend and I were there this past weekend to enjoy Asheville and celebrate her birthday. We had the pleasure to stay in Sassafras Cabin. The cabin is set back away from the Inn. It's small and cozy! No TV, cable or internet. WOW! What a place to relax and refresh your body and mind.... More

We spent a wonderfully relaxing weekend at the Sourwood Inn. This oasis overlooking the mountains around Asheville transports you to the quiet beauty of nature in a Frank Lloyd Wright inspired Inn. It looks vintage but is actually a modern recreation of a 1920's arts and crafts designed lodge. The owners and innkeepers are dedicated to insuring you have a... More

My wife and I stayed there last night (Sept 18) and had an absolutely wonderful time. The property is beautiful and the staff are extremely friendly. The location is just a short 10 minute drive to downtown Asheville... hard to believe when you're there and you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere. We stayed in room #10, which... More

My husband and I just stayed at the Sourwood Inn for the first of sure-to-be many times. Once you reach it, you feel instantly relaxed by the tranquil and secluded setting. Our room was beautiful and the view from the balcony (and bathtub!) was amazing. The food was excellent, and it was awesome that we could bring our own wine!... More
