Once again, a wonderful anniversary weekend! Thank you, Susan and Sourwood Staff for making our weekend special. Splurged for the massages. Never had better. Now we're going have to do them for each visit. Sigh!

I've stayed at Sourwood several times over the years, and it's always a treat. You really are "away" here -- a few miles outside of town but plenty close enough. With easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway, nice views, wooded grounds, a rocking chair porch and a cozy den, great food, comfy rooms, friendly/helpful staff and owners, no TVs... More

Just returned from staying at the Sourwood Inn. It was a wonderful, relaxing, peaceful getaway. The inn and the grounds are amaziing. Owners (Nat and Susan) are very warm and welcoming. Looking forward to another visit.

We're staying in the Sourwood Inn now and check out Saturday. I have to say this has been the best stay we've ever experienced in the Appalachian Mountains, let alone on Asheville. And we travel here a lot. Susan and the entire staff are wonderful and very accomdating. Forget all of the other places in Asheville. Book at the Sourwood... More

We spent three evenings at Sourwood Inn and it was so beautiful and quiet. The road in was at first a little scary but after driving it several times we were used to it. Our room was lovely; large with a fireplace, air conditioning (which we did not need even thought it was hot), sitting chairs and a small balcony... More

Sourwood inn is an absolutely amazing place to stay. We had a little trip to Ashville to see Biltmore and Chimney Rock, and we are glad that we stayed in this place. Everything was good. We stayed in room 7. Has pretty good view on mountains. Room is really big, has a little balcony, where you can have your morning... More

We spent two wonderful days/evenings at Sourwood. Everything was wonderful. We felt truly welcomed and cared for by Susan and the entire staff. We stayed in Room 6, which I highly recommend; all of the second floor rooms have great views, but #6 was excellent. Wonderful breakfasts, and our dinner on Friday night was very good.

The Sourwood Inn is now our favorite place to stay in the Asheville area. Susan manages the Inn and makes you feel like one of the family. You get to meet some of her family too as they help keep the wheels humming smoothly. We walked along the shaded trails on the property and were amazed at the variety of... More

If you can manage the Scenic Elk Mountain Highway and then the twisting driveway, the Sourwood Inn is the best place to stay in the mountains of North Carolina. Rooms are beautifully done with individual balconies, fireplaces, and lavish tubs overlooking the mountains. No children. If you do not want to go back out, make sure you reserve your stay... More

We spent a long weekend at Sourwood Inn in Asheville and what a wonderful place to get away from it all. Susan (the innkeeper), Nat & the rest of the staff are wonderful and makes you feel at home the minute you arrive with goodies and the best peach/nectarine/green tea/lemonade. This is a charming little inn (12 rooms and a... More
