At the Sourwood, there is no wi fi and no televisions in the rooms. It is just you, your loved one and the beautiful inn and surroundings. Beautiful public areas, rooms and location. A short drive to the center of Asheville and all things fun and interesting around Asheville. A short drive to the town of Weaverville for great food at Stoney Knob restaurant, Well-Bred Bakery, and Blue Mountain Pizza, as well as art and gift shops.

I tell everyone about this very special place. If you love the mountains and need to get away from the city hustle, this place is amazing! The food is SO good, the service is top notch and the views are excellent! We have been several times and never get tired of it! Walk the trails and breathe the mountain air!!!

It may seem odd to describe an inn as both "excellent" and "a nice place"... and usually I don't... but I'll make an exception for the Sourwood. There's no AC, it's stuck way out in the woods, you could easily drive off the mountain on the way up, there's a couple of dogs roaming around the place, the gameroom resembles... More

We are actually less than 45 minutes away from Sourwood, but try to stay each year. It is a great place to recharge your batteries when "life" gets in your way.
