I had two rooms. Great service. It is owned by Peter and his wife Lorie. You feel like family. They used to own a bakery elsewhere, so the food is great. They know the town well, so their restaurant recommendations are perfect. Later in the evenings, returning to lounge and relax in the antique living room, or rocking chairs on... More

We stayed here for our wedding weekend a while back and had nothing but wonderful service the entire time. They accommodated us beyond what was expected and made sure our entire wedding party was well cared for. We will definitely be back for our anniversary!

WE have stayed at The BLack Walnut Inn 3 times in the last 6 months. Each time we look forward to it; the location is wonderful; much to see and walk to in the nearby neighorhood. Beautifully maintained inn. The highlight is the food and hospitality from Peter and Lori, who make what must be the most incredible breakfasts on... More

My sister and I planned a three day visit to Asheville to spend time with our mother to celebrate her 80th birthday (a few weeks early). We couldn't have been happier with our choice of B&B. The Black Walnut Bed and Breakfast Inn was beautiful, food was delicious, and our hosts Peter & Lori were a lot of fun to... More

You know you're in good hands even before you walk in the front door. The well-tended yard with mature hardwoods leads to a generous front porch, appointed with several rocking chairs. The blankets folded over the back of the rockers is a clue that the comfort of guests is a top priority of the innkeepers. Breakfast was a delightful 3-course... More

Love, Love, Love this place! The breakfast was fabulous and I loved that they were tables of two so I didn't have to make small talk with other guests (I need a couple cups of coffee before I can do that). The Sunshine room was the perfect size for us and the bathroom was lovely. We walked to town both... More

The rocking chair front porch was so welcoming. The Inn was full of charm and decorated beautifully. Be prepared to be pampered. Mornings offer a three course gourmet breakfast. In the early evening you will see a spread of several appetizers and four wines to pair with them. Peter is a professional baker, so be prepared to have your tastebuds... More

This was my husband's first stay at a bed and breakfast, and he now insists we only stay at B&Bs when we are out of town! The claw foot rub was wonderful as well as the breakfast and owner. We had a wonderful time and will stay here again when we visit the city!
