Very lovely Bed and Breakfest. We went there because on their web site they said they owned a bakery on Martha Vineyard, we were not disappointed. Not only was the food very good but this was the best bed and breakfast we've been. They were very hospitable and ready to help you plain your day. At 5 pm they would... More

My primary concern was finding a place in Asheville that would welcome my dog. I was treating the two of us to a special cushy trip, and this is a beautiful B&B. They have 2 rooms that are dog friendly, and they don't skimp on any comfort or aesthetics for these rooms. Plus, they leave you treats for your dog... More

This place is heaven on earth. We stayed over New Years weekend. The house is beautiful, the food is divine, and the innkeepers are just wonderful people. We are opening a Bed & Breakfast near Atlanta and went there for ideas since we loved their website and the photos of the property and it is similar to what we are... More

My girlfriend and I stayed 4 nights at the inn over christmas break. When we first arrived we were greeted with wine and light appetizers and showed to our room. We stayed in the Azalea room which was very nice. It had a christmas tree in the corner, fireplace, jacuzzi, and garland over the fireplace. Breakfast was always first class... More

I have stayed in B nB's before but never have I enjoyed one more. The house is a beauty but the hosts and the feel inside made it such a home. We so enjoyed Peter and Lori at both breakfast and tea, the food was absolutely fabulous, and the accomodations were soooo comfortable...even the sheets on the bed were soft... More

My wife and I stayed recently at the Black Walnut B&B for our 24th wedding anniversary. We stayed in a bedroom on the first floor- I believe its called the "Ivy room" It had a huge jacuzzi tub, a working fireplace, a bed that was so comfortable you didn't want to get up in the morning! It was kept well and... More

We had a wonderful trip to Asheville and enjoyed thoroughly our stay @ Black Walnut B&B. The Inn-Keepers were super-friendly and the food was outstanding. Our turret room, The Dogwood, was very comfortable (though a tad chilly since we were there in December) and well-appointed. Afternoon tea was delightful and the perfect treat before heading out to explore Asheville before... More

My husband and I have stayed at the Black Walnut B&B twice this year and just wish we could have stayed longer. Peter and Lori and the staff were wonderful hosts; very personable and helpful on itineraries and places not to miss while in Asheville. Make sure and plan on plenty of walking to counter the extraordinary breakfasts; not a... More

If you do not have much B&B experience and set your bar early with the Black Walnut, good luck trying to top it! This is our 3rd year in a row to visit and the experience has only gotten better. We treated our 91 year old mother to an experience she had never had and Pete and Lori were fabulous... More

We spent 2 nights just this past weekend for a girls getaway. This B & B is warm and inviting! The owners, Peter and Lori are amazing hosts (and great cooks!) We had 2 amazing breakfasts - but the asparagus souffles with crab bread pudding and pesto cheese grits on Sunday morning - ranked up there with one of the... More
