We stayed in one of the yurts. Comfortable bed, table and chairs provided. Also stocked with coffee, paper towels, utensils, paper plates. More that I expected. The bathroom is only a short walk although steep from the yurt without one. Beautiful scenery. Would definitely go back. more

This is a little hidden gem of a RV resort. The view is incredible, the staff friendly and helpful, and we will return! While touring the Smoky Mts. in our motor home it was one of the best stops. It was near Asheville and the Biltmore House. more

I spent one night here in a large RV. The road to the top is tight but I made it up in a 43' coach. Once on top we found the RV sites to be quite spectacular. The premium sites are paved and have a great view. There are some nice hiking trails. We hiked around most of the property.... more

We had stayed here several times in our pop-up camper and enjoyed it but wanted a more relaxing stay for my birthday so decided to try the yurt. It looked very attractive but my mold allergies were horrible which leads me to think they don't clean the vinyl/canvas well because as soon as I went outdoors my allergy symptoms improved.... more

First the tents smell horrible and were very unkept and dirty. The staff was so rude. They had attitudes as soon as we checked in. In stead of helphing us with our tent problems they were just rude and hateful about it. DON"T WASTE YOUR MONEY...STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE. more

The view from the bath house/RV sites was gorgeous. And the tent sites weren't too far from the bath house which had warm water. Staff was so sweet and helpful. They even offered to let us use their thermal sleeping bags and gave us tons of deodorant, advil and granola bars. Super close to downtown asheville and parks. It was... more

Always wanted to try a YURT... this place has 5. Two of them with indoor plumbing (full bath). they are very cute and cozy and make a really romantic getaway. The bathroom is actually quite functional. They come with a microwave and mini-fridge. The Great room is basically the bedroom with not much room for more than the fireplace (a... more

Overall this is a very nice property for RVs. It is a RV park nestled suprisingly close to Asheville. It is certainly managed better than larger campgrounds like Grandfather Campground in Boone (which has loud party types there on the weekends). But for someone tenting it you need to be really careful, Here is why. At the far end of... more

The property itself is fine. But the employee on duty when I arrived is perhaps the rudest person I have ever met in the lodging industry. She insulted me, refused to let me finish sentences, and urged me to "calm down" when I was as calm as I could reasonably be. I had prepaid nearly $700 and was stuck. more

My husband I visited Campfire Lodgings at the tail end of our trip to the NC mountains and it was the best part of our vacation. We have been very curious about staying in a yurt and finally got the chance to enjoy one. Ande, the manager at Campfire was a pleasure to deal with and she really made our... more
