We stayed here last Sept. The staff was good but Jason was the best. We were lucky to get site P5. The view was unbelievable. The sitting and viewing area for all campers next to us was a great gathering place to meet others and enjoy the sunsets. We met some fascinating people to visit with. Very comfortable place for... Thank you and we are glad you enjoyed the campground and for letting people know. We decided NOT to order too many stink bugs for your stay. More

This campground has an amazing view. However, it has a major stink bug problem. We visited over 3 months ago, and we are still vacuuming stink bugs out of our RV everyday. It is not an exaggeration to say that we have found over 2,000 in our RV. Will not stay here ever again.

I'm so glad to see Campfire finally getting the reviews it deserves. We found this place by accident 3 years ago. I had just bought a new camper, and did a search for "best view in NC". I thought there was no way that it could live up to the pictures online, so we drove up before we booked. Breath... More

Great check-in and staff - kudos to Jason. Drive-up is steep but totally doable. Hot, clean showers/bathrooms. Rented a car from Enterprise, $30 bucks a day - great deal. I am looking out at the evening sunset as I write this - We'd come back here in a heartbeat.

Horrible first experience from staff and managers.I will never return for the lack of organization.Overpriced for what is available elsewhere.Customer service is key when you run a business.Lack of this skill is evident upon arrival.

Yes, there was definitely a communication break down which has been addressed with the employee. Fortunately, that was our only problem in this entire situation. For you to become enraged to the point of destroying property was very inappropriate. It's a good thing that your 'first experience' only lasted 15 seconds. More

Getting up the hill was 1/2 the fun in our 35 ft'r! :-) Nice Campground - several sites on the overlook with long range views of the French Broad River Valley Owners were super nice. One of our favorites!

We've always tried to use State or National campgrounds, but since this trip was planed at the spur of the moment, our choices were very limited for campgrounds this time of the year. After searching the net and reading the reviews, we decided to try Campfire Lodgings. Our daughter and her husband needed a tent camp site so we took... More

Me & my husband stayed in on of the yurts for 2 nights for his 50th Birthday. We had stayed in a yurt before several years ago out west & it was great. I wish I could say the same for this one but I can't. This one had seen better days. The deck was very weak feeling and the... More

This place is lovely! We stayed in P-1 and thought the view and privacy were awesome. I liked that the trees growing off to the side gave some privacy so everyone driving up did not see into our space, but we still got a nice view the other half. The grounds were well kept. I love that there is a... More

We are pleased you enjoyed your stay despite the unwelcome, welcome due to an early arrival. Please forgive me and I will work on that. We hope you'll come back and I promise I am going to work on my early arrival attitude. More

My husband and I have camped for over 35 years and this is the first campground we give an A+! The campground sits on top of a mountain overlooking a valley with views of neighboring mountain ranges and the French Broad River. The view is amazing!! We had premium site #2 -- next time we'll try for #5 since it... More
