We just returned from a 5 night stay in Asheville and an overall wonderful vacation. Our accommodations at 27 Blake Street were a huge part of what made the stay so great. My partner and I just returned from a seven day stay in a delightfully serene and beautiful room in a Victorian home. Our room had it's own private entrance at the end of a very Southern porch where we sat every morning drinking our coffee while gazing into the beautiful gardens that surround this home. Want a step back in time? 27 Blake St. is a Victorian mansion that will take you there. The room was decorated with antiques, the bath had a claw tub with a shower. The Inn Keeper, Carolyn, (a life-long resident of Asheville) was an endless source of information on restaurants, attractions and short cuts. The price was truly reasonable. Though... more
