This hotel is not downtown, but if you are adventurous, you can walk through the neighborhood streets to town and not drive at all. About 2 miles and 40 minutes. This way, you can enjoy the variety of awesome brews that are in Asheville. The hotel itself is a standard Hampton with decent breakfast, exercise room, and a small pool.

I was driving from Michigan to Savannah and took a detour to Asheville. It was the peak of fall color, which made it a stunning journey, and the hotel room was almost. I used points, which I had, luckily, or I probably wouldn't have paid that much for the room (there were no other choices, by the way - all... More

I arrived behind schedule, and when I inquired about can service the team immediately offered to call and have one ready for me. It may seem like a small thing, but that kind of helpfulness is rare, and makes a big difference. Room was clean, and the coffee was excellent! I will stay there again.

It's a Hampton Inn so you know what you are getting. New breakfast area and newer room decor as well. Real coffee maker was nice compared to little one cup version which is more common. Room was clean, staff efficient and friendly. On-line check-in made things very quick and was greeted warmly on arrival.

One of the best hotels I have stayed at. The Staff was incredible and very outgoing. Breakfast was much better than expected. Would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Asheville area. You won't regret it!!!

The new beds in this Hampton hotel were extremely comfortable. Location of the hotel for business in Asheville was also convienent to the business reason I went to Asheville. It would also be a good place to stay if you were there for tourist reasons.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn-Tunnel Road location during our first visit to Asheville. We very much enjoyed our stay and will stay here again in the future. The rooms are extremely clean (Hampton Inns even wash the duvet covers!) and the beds have high quality linens and pillows. I had called ahead to inquire about an early check-in, and... More

If you're traveling with young children, I STRONGLY encourage you to stay away from the Hampton "family" of hotels, or at least this particular property in Asheville. A wedding brought us to Durham, and we were excited about visiting Asheville as an additional part of our trip. After a series of unexpected events (two of our kids got the stomach... More

For its class, it needs improvement. The positives: The location; the shuttle to downtown ; the gracious and helpful driver of the shuttle, generally the facilities were Hampton Inn quality, cleanliness, facilities, breakfast. Etc The negatives: very high price, I knew it was leaf peeping season, but it was still very high ($300++ with taxes per night); the elevator was... More

This is a nice hotel located on the edge of Asheville. It is not far to downtown or any of the local attractions. The service and the breakfast were good. We would use this hotel again when in the area. The prices were high for a Hampton when we stayed but it was apparently the height of leaf peeping season.
