Conveniently located in the middle of the Asheville downtown scene. Walk to restaurants, to the drum circle and shopping. Large and well appointed room with space enough for an easy chair and a 3 seater sofa.. Very comfortable king bed. Large bathroom with a jet tub but no separate shower stall. The staff was very helpful and welcoming, including a... More

My wife and I recently spent two nights at the Haywood Park Hotel. We stayed in one of the King suites. The room was enormous. There was a separate sitting area with a curtain that could be pulled to create two different areas in the room. The bathroom was very nice with a separate garden tub and shower with dual... More

We did this trip without renting a car and the location was perfect with shops, restaurants, bars, and parks within easy walking distance. Breakfast was a 20 second stroll across the street. Large room and turn down service with luscious boxed chocolate truffles on our pillows. Loved the historic photos on the lobby walls of this contemporary styled hotel. We'll... More

The location is the best in the town- walk right out into the action and all the great restaurants and shops. The hotel itself is dated and can be noisy at night since it is right on the street... Do not recommend sleeping on the foldout couch...no covers were given and the mattress was paper thin. Get 2 queens instead...also,... More

Have been staying at Haywood for YEARS...and watched it get dumpy-ish. However, while they are now attempting to upgrade (good for them!!!), the prices no longer match the quality. Front desk staff usually excellent to deal with; no issue with staffing. In May we had a smaller room (usually take a King Superior) instead of King Master. Carpeting still needs... More

We at the Haywood Park Hotel always strive to make our guests’ stay with us a memorable experience. From time to time, we find a review, like yours, on TripAdvisor, and feel we must respond. Had you booked with us for Bele Chere weekend a few weeks ago, you would have found lower prices. However, unfortunately, you waited until the... More

We enjoyed our stay here. Nice rooms, lovely hotel. A bit short staffed and don't have ice machines. Have to ask to have ice brought to the room. nice small refrigerator and coffee maker but not much else. You are within walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants which is very nice. More

What a wonderful hotel! The staff is friendly and helpful, there is complimentary champagne on hand in the lobby, delicious gourmet chocolates from "Chocolate Fetish" delivered to each room, spacious and clean rooms...what else could a guest want? Plus the hotel owner and his lovely wife were onsite for the evening making sure all their guests were well cared for.... More

An old professor said: Location-Location-Location for investing in real estate. He might have been right but he may have forgotten the rule of upkeep. Haywood Park has the location. No question. Not that it was dirty but simply dated for the expense ($230/night at high time and last minute due to emergency). We wanted to be in the middle of... More

We really appreciated the feedback. We are sorry you did not like our décor. We are continually upgrading our property to meet the demands of our guests. In fact, we just painted all the rooms, installed flat screen TV’s, upgraded our fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment, and refurbished our grand lobby. I am very pleased that your photos show the... More

Though the hotel is in the middle of Asheville, and yes, the rooms are large, I would absolutely not stay here. I had a problem with the bill at check-in and ask to see the manager at 3pm. No luck, she was gone for the day, but front desk staff took a message and said she'd call. Next day, even... More

We are sorry that you were not satisfied with your stay at our hotel. We regret that you did not arrive on the date you reserved the week prior and that your failure to call to cancel resulted in a room charge. We are remorseful that you did not feel a 25% discount was sufficient. Unfortunately, we were unable to... More
