We wanted a hotel in the heart of Asheville and this was perfect - walking distance to a range of bars with live music and a huge selection of restaurants. We were warmly welcomed with a glass of fizz while our car was valet parked (free). The hotel itself still retains some of the feel of the store from which... More

Haywood Park is a beautifully restored hotel in downtown Asheville, NC. Our room was spacious, included free parking and free breakfast -- not to mention a champagne toast and chocolates on our bed in the evening.

Everything about this hotel whispered elegance and good old fashioned southern hospitality. A restored Ivy's department store, the Haywood kept the charm of the old store without being overdone. Everyone of the staff was genuinely guest oriented and welcoming. We were treated as if we were old friends returning for a visit. Checking in was a breeze and the complimentary... More

From the complimentary valet parking and glass of champagne on arrival the stay was just - amazing. Service was great (really liked Sarah), rooms were huge and well appointed. Walking distance to downtown shopping and awesome food places, as well as the lounge downstairs. Hope to stay there again.

We booked this hotel for Thanksgiving weekend so we could be with our young adult children who live in different parts of the country. We booked 2 rooms and paid an additional fee for our daughter's small dog. The hotel rooms were spacious, clean and tastefully furnished in art deco style ( the building was once a famous dept store... More

I was the hostess of the event that ElvisNYC refers to in her review. Please know that this hotel is a wonderful spot in downtown Asheville. Perfect location, FABULOUS room, great FREE parking and nice staff. ElvisNYC was disappointed that she forgot to cancel one night of her stay. The hotel was full and they could have sold her room... Haywood Park is the best value and is so convenient to the shopping, restaurants, etc. that downtown Asheville has to offer. Have actually stopped staying at Grove Park since the Omni buyout and have made this our Thanksgiving getaway for past two years. Champagne upon arrival doesn't hurt.

On the positive side, it was a great bed with a lovely bathtub. And the room was enormous. But from the moment I arrived, the front desk staff was not accommodating or service or solution oriented. To start, my limited interaction with the hotel manager Victoria was unpleasant. I screwed up the reservation by forgetting to cancel the extra night... More

We were in Asheville for four nights and wanted to stay somewhere central. We couldn't have made a better choice. The hotel is right in the middle of town within walking distance to shops and restaurants. It was a first visit for me and the staff was very helpful in all of our inquiries. The initial greeting was accompanied by... More

This hotel was ideal for doing things downtown. Downtown is a warm mecca of art, good food, awesome street muscisians and wonderful shopping deals on local, one of a kind type of things. Have fun shopping for my daughter. When I think "boutique" hotel, I think I am paying for the extras. I have very sensitive skin, so I typically... More
