The location was fabulous. The room was great but didn't need to be so big. Slept very well. Breakfast was very good. The desk staff were very nice and helpful. It's a great place and I would stay there again but I would first inquire whether I could get a smaller room.

All great reviews that have commented are so right on. Large room, huge bathroom and lots of light. Comfy bed and sofa. Free breakfast not bad either. Even a to go package with 2 waters and granola bars and a thank you note.

The Haywood Park is a fine hotel with the best location in Asheville -- or at least downtown Asheville. It is a historic property that was converted from an old department store and some of those features have been preserved. The rooms are quite spacious and comfortable and the staff is friendly and helpful. Although I would highly recommend it,... More

We have stayed at the Haywood Park before, and booked there again because their service and amenities were so far above anything else in Asheville. We were in rm 208, which was probably bigger than my first 3 apartments put together! Beautiful sitting room with windows overlooking the intersection, an immensely comfortable bed, HUGE mirrored double closet, and a marble... More

We stayed on a Friday night at this place that had all conveniences attached: lovely room, great cozy bed, beautiful bathroom with a TV, evening service with special chocolates, unbeatable central location. We felt pampered and elegant and wish to return again to this cool place. The only disappointment was a hotel offered breakfast in an adjacent atrium from a... More

Gigantic room!! Recommend #408. Friendly, attentive and helpful staff. Kudos to Brian for some helpful restaurant tips for us first-timers. Huge bathroom w/large Jacuzzi tub, nice glass/marble shower and quirky cool faucets. Our room was kept very clean and the chocolates for turn-down service was a nice touch. If you want a hotel that is more in line with the... More

My husband and I stayed at the Haywood first weekend in January. We wanted to be near the center of town, and it definitely fit the bill -- within walking distance of great restaurants and shops. The hotel itself was a former department store, very cool displays featuring products sold in the 1920s, 30s, 40s. Each floor is designated a... More

I live in Asheville but haven't been in that Hotel since my honeymoon in '87! It was the hot spot at the time. I had a friend coming to town and the Aloft (which I like) was alot more expensive. I chose this one. We had room 411. Huge! tv in bedroom and bathroom. A very large jacuzzi tub that... More

We stayed at the Haywood Park hotel over the New Year's week. A unique boutique hotel: very spacious room,a comfortable bed, attentive and helpful staff, it was a great place to relax after exploring Asheville all day! Loved the extra large bathroom(with a TV inside!) The hotel has a perfect location for experiencing Asheville's day-life, nightlife, restaurants, shops: all within... More

From the moment that I spoke with Terri to book our weekend reservation, I sensed that the Haywood was a quality hotel. To say that the hotel surpassed our expectations almost feels like understatement. We were greeted with free valet parking and a glass of champagne, then led to the most spacious hotel room in which we've stayed in years.... More
