Our Haywood Park Hotel experience was phenomenal! From the free valet parking, to the welcome glass of champagne, to the delicious daily chocolates, to the mannequins adorned with period clothes, this place is like no other we have experienced. We stayed on the top floor in a gigantic room with a huge bathroom and fluffy, comfy robes and slippers. The... More

I actually searched a few other hotels in the same price range ($250-350 a night) and they were all booked for May 1st of this year. Imagine my surprise when Haywood Park Hotel, not my first choice, exceeded my expectations by far! This hotel is in a perfect location to explore downtown Asheville a block away from Pritchard Park, Grove... More

This is a delightfully eccentric place. In my first trip to Asheville I learned that you should stay in a downtown hotel because all the best restaurants are within easy walking distance, and parking and driving in Asheville can be a pain. The hotel was a department store (actually two) in the twenties and they have mannequins with period clothes... More

This is a most fun and special place, formerly a downtown department store, now a hotel. Our room was on 4th floor, "Ladies Ready to Wear" as was announced by the elevator voice. Room was extra spacious with 2 queen beds and a sitting area with sofa and chair. Even a tv in the bathroom! We were in town to... More

We just came back from a 5 day stay at the Haywood Park Hotel - in a master king on the fourth floor. I highly recommend it, and we will be back. Every member of staff was welcoming, friendly and very helpful. The welcome champagne and leaving gift were lovely touches. Our room was large, airy and bright. The drapes... More

The staff were amazing and the service exceptional. Our suite, room 208, was spacious with a huge living room, bedroom and bathroom. Very light and airy and super clean. Only gripe is that the wifi signal did not reach our room so you had to go to the seating area outside. Location excellent and breakfast in small cafe in the... More

This is the place to stay if you want a quiet, well run small hotel with large, clean, and well appointed rooms. The location cannot be beat--right in the middle of downtown and within a short walk to many fine restaurants and shops. Even so, the noise level was never a problem. The staff is excellent, and checking in and checking... More

We travel to Asheville about once a year. Had never stayed downtown so we chose the Haywood Park Hotel as it is well-located. Oh my, what a wonderful discovery. The rooms are enormous. Check-in is a breeze. They great you with a glass of champagne as you check in -- WOW. They have included valet parking. Rooms are very comfortable.... More

I did tons of research to optimize our trip to Asheville. This is the absolutely best located hotel for city walkers, shopper and eaters! The hotel is low key, comfortable and quiet featuring a historic department store theme with displays, (elevator dings "Fourth floor, ladies wear." Rooms are HUGE -- You could dance in them. Only 33 rooms in this... More
