It all comes down to supply and demand in central Asheville. At $374 per night it was about double what it should have been. Good points are the perfect location and comfy beds. Aside from that nothing very special and the breakfasts were dismal. The staff were friendly and helpful, all was clean and nice but just not worth the... More

This has to be one of the best hotels I've stayed in lately. To say the rooms are large, is putting it mildly - they are huge with a full sized sofa, chair and upholstered ottoman. Large screen TV and bar area with a Keurig coffee maker. The bathroom has a dressing area and another sink area with a long... More

My husband and I collected Asheville restaurant recommendations from friends before our trip and found the majority are within a block or two of this wonderful hotel. When we arrived, the bellman was very friendly and helpful, the front desk staff cheerful and fun. The hotel was once a department store (actually two different department stores) and its history is... More

On the one hand he hotel deserves it's recognition for rehabilitating a historic landmark (former downtown department store). However, the spatial configuration doesn't lend itself well to a hotel application. Rooms are large but awkward, neither cozy nor spacious, just large. The rennovation was done in the mid to late 70s. Style is feeling dated and some surfaces and furnishings... More

We were impressed by the warmth of the welcome we received when we arrived at the Haywood Park Hotel for a recent one night stay. The valet parking was very convenient & the glass of champagne as we checked in was a nice touch. The bedroom was enormous, clean & comfortable. We ate dinner in the adjoining restaurant & enjoyed... I visited Asheville with my "girlfriends" last year and came back with my husband for a 3 day weekend last week. I chose this hotel because of the location and good reviews. Pros: Our room was quite large with comfortable seating and the king bed had an excellent mattress and quality linens. There was sufficient lighting, a mini sink/fridge area... More

We booked a two night stay in the Haywood Hotel. It is the sight of a former department store. I am writing this review at 4:25 in the morning because I was awakened at 2:41 am to the sound of children calling out to one another in the hall. Needless to say, there were no kids on my floor running... More

Amazing Hotel right in the center of everything. Champaign at arrival and chocolates on your bed every evening. We had a standard room and there was nothing standard about it! The staff couldn't have been nicer. The free breakfast was just another example of the great service - everything from smoothies, lattes, to breakfast sandwiches or pancakes delivered to your... Valet parked our car and we never moved it until we left. Greeted with champagnine at check in. Staff was helpful & courteous . Complimentary breakfast was delicious. Beautiful lobby, spacious room, trolly stop outside hotel. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, art galleries. Would definitely stay at Haywood Park hotel again when in Asheville.

Beautiful hotel in the center of downtown. The room was huge. Loved the bathroom with the TV and oval bathtub/separate shower. The staff was extremely friendly and seemed to love their job. We would definitely stay here again.
