At first glance this cute little B&B appears as a grand house with little to no indication of its function. However, upon closer review the property is quaint, simple with a side entrance adjacent to the parking area. The owner Roger was very nice, accommodating, and communicative. Very responsive to email (unorthodox check in/out times, etc). The Room (The Garden... More

We stayed at the Pillsbury House BnB for one night. We were in town for a wedding. We were greeted by Roger and found him very friendly and informative about the area. I could smell something 'wonderful' in the kitchen and Roger said he was baking beans - I said Yum. He promised me a taste for breakfast the next... More

This is a lovely change of place place to stay. The house reflects the past glory of a fading mill town from the 19th century. I stayed in the Garden Room and the Victorian room. Both are large and have good bathrooms. There is a room on the top floor with two single beds that does not have an en-suite... More

My husband and stayed here for 3 nights. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Even with the house full it was very quiet. We stayed in the garden room which was a very nice size. Roger was very flexible about our arrival time. Chris fed us a wonderful breakfast each morning.I would not hesitate to stay here again.

This is a beautiful home, but I think it's time that the owner put some money & focus back into it. The walls in the hallways had cracks (which happens of course as old houses shift - I know, I own one), the bedsheets had bleach stains, the pillows were simply awful, and the bathroom had tiny spots of mold... This bed and breakfast was very warm and welcoming! My husband and I felt right at home. The proprietor was very nice over the phone. Only stayed one night but breakfast was terrific and filling. No complaints at all.

We enjoyed our overnight stay here, overall. The owner was friendly and accommodating of our arrival schedule, plus he gave us a tour of the lovely building and told us some of its history, and suggested places for our dinner The room was pleasant, though it could have been vacuumed more thoroughly. The bed and shower were fine. Breakfast was... More

This very old property is obviously dear to Roger's heart. However, he has left the running mostly to hired help, who, whilst trying their best, will never bring the same spirit to the operation as a hands on proprietor. Dusty lampshades, crumpled sheets, and stained carpeting suggested a less than careful attention to cleanliness, whilst breakfast dishes comprised of bisquik... More

I have never used bed & breakfast places before, but since I was traveling with my daughter, while looking at colleges, I decided to give it a try because I felt it was a little safer. When we arrived, we met another gentleman that stays regularly at the Pillsbury House. There was also another long term (3 months) boarder staying... More

We spent two nights at The Pillsbury House. We chose it based on the reviews here and we weren't sorry. It's a basic B&B rather than a fancy one with a theme, and it's clear that it's owned by a single man. Lacks the touch of a woman who would decorate with flair rather than just utility. That said, it... More
