We stayed in the king size room that has our own private balcony overlooking the mountain ranges to the east. The bed was so comfortable. Full of pillows and a fluffy comforter. I did not want to leave that bed. But I did for the delicious breakfast prepared by our host Scott. After eating breakfast I told Scott I will... More

If you want to experience Colorado at it's finest, this is the place. It's a 30 minute (roughly 15 mile) drive southwest of Gunnison, Colorado and the drive is worth it. We have a Santa Fe and never had to use 4 Wheel Drive at all.....my Honda Accord could have done just fine too!. We heard many good reviews of... More

The challenge was a 7 mile ride up a gravel and then dirt road to find the place; the reward was a fantastic log "hideaway" overlooking the mountains, completely private. This is a wonderful place to stay IF you like to be away from the crowds and enjoy the solitude and beauty. The room was terrific, the views amazing; we... More

Shame on the one negative review on this place.... this is a wonderful experience. It is not a difficult road to drive on, we've only got a regular car and it wasn't a problem. This is a place which you'll remember for a lifetime. Yes it is a drive from the main road but hey you're not going to have... More

Some of the Best Views we had on an eleven day trip; Best Dinner we had in Colorado without a doubt, this guy can cook! One of the most interesting Inn Keepers I have encountered from life as a State Trooper, Construction work, Chef, to Inn Keeper, Scott is engaging and interesting, one reason I like B&B's. The directions from... More

Beautiful home with spectacular views. Scott is a wonderful host who makes delicious and very generous meals. Reece, the chocolate lab is an added bonus. Do yourself a favor, go to this unique and special bed and breakfast.

This place is a gem. Make your way up this charming mountain and check into relaxation. Scott is a great host, cooks delicious meals and made our mountain retreat one to remember. From gazing at the majestic sky from the deck at night to having coffee in the great room in the morning while taking in the views, Sawtooth Mountain... More

My wife and I spent two nights in August at Sawtooth Mountain and had a wonderful time. Stayed in "Beau's Room," which is spacious, comfortable, and private. Scott and Reese (chocolate lab) were the most accommodating hosts, and the dinner Scott made us was incredible. We would go back in a heartbeat!

If you are looking for an "off the beaten path" private mountain getaway, then Sawtooth Mountain B&B is the place for you. The owner and chef, Scott Hitchens, has with master craftsmanship created a beautiful mountain home that he has opened to guests. Scott and his dog, Reese, are quick to make you feel at home. He serves savory meals,... More

My husband and I stayed at the beautiful, remote Sawtooth Mountain Lodge back in June, & I apologize to Scott for our late review! If I were to be terse in words, I'd simply say...We LOVED it! However, that would not do justice to the fabulous experience Scott so carefully crafts for his guests. The drive out is an experience... More
