At one time this was probably a very grand hotel but years of neglect have turned it into a mess. The real shame is that it still has the potential to be a very nice hotel but I see no one putting an effort into making it that way. The wifi is horrible, the property is not kept up. I... More

DO NOTTTT STAY HERE!!!!!! The whole place is disgusting! It smells horrible, it's creepy, it's outdated, and it's in the ghetto. The rooms are nasty and smell horrible. The only thing that looked nice was the pool. My husband and I showed up here and left within 20 minutes! And they DO NOT GIVE REFUNDS!! This place needs to be... More

Not bad for the money. Rooms could use an upgrade tho. Especially the tvs. They were old and settings didn't work. Laundry area was awful. Maid didn't speak English but was very nice to look at. I'd go back there just to see her again

The outer look gives a different impression of the hotel but don't get fooled. The rooms are run down. Of all the hotels I have stayed this hotel is way run down. The rooms have a weird smell, I am still wondering what the smell was of. The switch board were broken and the switches too. The bathroom edges had... More

Basic accommodation was needed, close to I-10. This was ok for a night. This property needs some work, but it was clean, bed was comfortable. I found it to be quiet and very secure. Renovations and new a/c units would help, but that would increase the price.

The hotel was ok. Nothing special, but not a total hole in the wall. Rooms are basic. CRT TVs. Microwave didn't work, but I didn't really need it anyway. Beds were comfy, sheets were clean. Laundry was right outside my door, which was a plus for me. Lobby had a nice southern feel. Service was decent when checking in. Hotel... More

Don't be fooled by the neat, old southern look from the hotel's photos. It's run down, I had a bug problem in my room, and they hadn't run the AC before I arrived, so it took two hours to cool down. There are better, more central options for sure

The room smelled so terribly old, musky and stuffy I would have liked to leave the door open all night. I had to wash my pyjama immediately afterwards and put a T-shirt over the pillow to make it bearable. All surfaces were sticky. The breakfast area was extremely dated and not too clean; the food absolutely not appetizing. Not recommended... More

We apologize that your stay was not to your satisfaction. As you know the hotel is located in Southeast Texas where the weather is very humid. Once air conditioners are turned on the humid environment does improve and any associated odor you may be exposed to will be eliminated. Due to energy costs and environmental considerations we do not leave... More

Very nice lobby and breakfast area. Fitness center not the best. Photos I saw online were deceiving--makes hotel look like one large building with all the rooms inside it, but really it's a motel with most of the rooms having their own door to the outside. Pretty sure Rodeway purchased this place from someone else and then built the front... More

This place is great value, especially with my senior’s discount. The front entrance is impressive for a motel, but the Place is really no frills. I was given the choice of a room accessible from inside the main building or with a door to the parking lot. The pool was closed due to the cold weather. The room was good... More
