My wife and I stayed at the resort on May 19, 2009 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room had a cowboy motif and were nicely decorated. The prices were a little high but for the area, we thought it was well worth it. more
The room was clean and unique from standard hotel rooms. There are no amenities with this hotel; there is a restaurant adjacent to the hotel and the menu is a little high on prices. The staff is friendly and helpful. The AC was loud and cycled quite a bit. Felt the price was rather high for what was offered. more
This is a very special property in an unusual location, and I feel Lajitas deserves a more positive review than the others posted here in spring 2009. Keep in mind that when you come to the Chihuahua desert, you are basically in the wilderness, a k a in the middle of nowhere. As luck would have it, a wealthy businessman... more
We booked reservations for a week in the resort's RV park which is quite spacious with a very nice faciltiy that houses an exercise room, bath facilities with individual toilet/shower rooms, a small laundry (2 washers, 2 dryers) and an outdoor pool. The RV park is across the street - a short distance from the main resort complex and while... more
My husband and I stayed for 6 nights and loved every minute of it!! The service and the food was fantastic. We would stay there again. It is especially nice if you are looking to tour Big Bend National Park. It is a beautiful resort. more

Park. The first room that we were given had a faulty air conditioner. We didn't realize this until... more
I have traveled in over 50 countries, many in the "third world". After a few minutes at this "resort", I felt like I had accidentally crossed over our southern border. (Actually, most Mexican hotels where I've stayed were better than this place and were certainly better values.) The first problem was the room. The only furnishings were a bed, a... more
We had some problems with the room right off, and things kind of went down hill after that. I had thought to relax in the spa for some treatments while my husband took care of some business, but the spa was closed. We love this countryside, and usually come out annually, but normally stay in Big Bend Park. We were... more
This is the first time I have ever taken the time to write a review of my own. That being said, I do depend on others reviews of places to help make my travel decisions. This is the first time I have been so terribly disappointed with the reality of my experience compared to the reviews I'd read. So I... more
