This is a great place to stay if you want to be in the park, but aren't too interested in camping. The rooms were clean and all of our interactions with the staff were polite and answered our questions. I could not have asked for a better location! All around are mountains and the view from our patio was spectacular.... More

We stayed in one of the Roosevelt cottages and they are in a perfect location - you can walk a few yards to watch the sunset through the Window and see deer and foxes outside the porch. The three double beds were ideal for a family and we felt lovely and relaxed here. Food was good in the restaurant also,... More

Honestly I am on the fence about the three star rating - maybe 3.5 would be more like it. Its a park lodge so you shouldn't start out with a four star hotel in mind. The room itself reminds me of a rustic motel 6 but much cleaner. The staff were very friendly and kept the room in great condition.... More

Visited for second time and once. Again did not disappoint. Previously stayed in Roosevelt Cottage, but chose Casa Grande Room this time. Was more comfortable than cottage due to air conditioning, and being newer. Stayed inA2,A block definitely the best, and second floor have fantastic views of window. Beds were very comfortable, all very clean, and considering the location, shower... More

Remember that this is a hotel in a national park way off the beaten path; it is not the 4 Seasons. The Lodge is clean, comfortable and in a great location. One of the building was closed for renovation this being the off season. They gladly changed our room when we asked for one with a better view. The staff... More

I was really pretty impressed with the quality of the rooms at the Chisos Mountain Lodge. We stayed in A-9 and it was relatively clean (although the carpet needed cleaning). The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of towels. The room had a coffee pot, refridgerator and microwave. The store was well stocked with food and beverages for "after... More

When researching places to stay around Big Bend, the stone cottages kept appearing as a magical place to stay... "isolated" "great views" "rustic and relaxing" "perfection" - so I booked a couple months in advance and got room 105-part of the duplex. Still a stone cottage, so I figured it would be fine. We arrive..family of 4...to a dirty, gross... More

I give this place one star for the handful of helpful people employed here. Steve, Dallas, and the two servers at the restaurant. Dave at the front desk couldn't muster a "hello" when we arrived, and grumbled that check-in wasn't til after 4 sometime. When asked a question he just stared at me and pushed a map in front of... The rooms are a bit small. The beds are hard and the bathroom is too small. Our son was stung by a scorpion in our room on the first night. The rooms are nicely equipped, but the wifi is useless. The location and the view are the best parts of the lodge.

We stayed in one of the Roosevelt Cottages (not No. 103 which is apparently the blue Maritius of hotel rooms) are were very happy with the stay. We had quite a big thunderstorm while we were up in the mountains and the whole park lost electricity for over four hours. We did not mind since we could use or phone... More
