I was searching through the web and identfied this camping ground as the most sought after in USA. There are nt a lot of sites available if you dont plan in advance. Please do not opt for Bay area if you are visiting in the warmer months. You can manage the mosquitoes but sand flies are venomous(not exactly :-)). Definitely... More

This campground has very nice large spots, for RV's and for tents, and they are within walking distance to the beach. The location and the scenery are what make this place extra special. Walk to the beach by day, have dinner by a campfire under the stars at night. Make sure to bring lots of sunscreen and bug spray (with... More

The camping facilities are adequate for the number of campsites however you get tons of non-campers parking nearby and using the campers showers, bathrooms and crowding the beach. The non-campers generally seem to lack any respect for the campers. We have seen groups of non-campers just trampling through people's sites without regard for their things or privacy.

We shared a wonderful weekend with family at this campground. It is a unique layout - it's like you are camping on a beach, but there are shrubs to divide the sites. We saw beautiful sunrises...and the ocean sounds will lull you to sleep. The bathrooms are quite basic, but not unclean. We had to "stand guard" at the shower... More

My wife, daughter and I camped there with 2 other couples and their kids, we camped on a group site and it was amazing. We did our research and brought 12" tent spikes for our tents and we never had any issues even with the wind. Enjoyed early morning walks on the beach watching wild horses. The girls at the... More

We spent 3 nights (May 25-28) camping on a group site (G2). We had 6 adults and 3 young children under 2. Site: the group sites are on the oceanside and the view is gorgeous. While you have to walk in, our site was not far from the parking lot and we had no issues transporting our gear to the... More

This is the best East Coast sea shore park I have every RVed in. We were right next to the beech and the sound of the waves. Had a great time just walking the beech with family (with Dogs). Camp sites had a lot of room with good angled spacing that give a real feeling of being out there on... More

We were hosting the campground for the month of October, this is a great park and great camping if you enjoy the solitude. You have to keep in mind when camping here it is all dry camping, no hook ups, cold showers and the toilets are not fancy. Everything is kept really clean, each camp site in the RV area... More

Best kept secret! If you never saw the horses at Asseteague put it on your bucket list, beautiful clean beach, the horses were everwhere, even join us on the beach, we even swam with them. Beautiful, quiet, and scenic good flat place to ride bicycles and explore. The Rangers and Camp Host were informative and very helpful thanks to them... More

We camped in our travel trailer for three nights. The area was well maintained. There were spickets to refill fresh water. The visitor center is a must, including the film on the wild horses. We saw the beautiful horsesmany times over the weekend . Beaches were clean.
