My husband and I stayed at the Plantation for five days, it was awesome. The rooms are clean and spacious, the atmosphere is genteel, and the people who take care of the guests are the greatest. I would recommend a stay at the Plantation to anyone. we will be back when we are in the area!!

The Merry Sherwood Plantataion is a beautiful victorian home from the 1800's. Every room is beautifully decorated with period antiques. We felt like we had taken a step back in time and lived in a house of an affluent landowner. The grounds are also beautiful and you would be well advised to take time to enjoy them and the wrap... A lovely building combining many classical architectural and period influences, the owners have taken wonderful care of a piece of history. We stayed in one of the en suite rooms (3rd floor). The window A/C clamored through the night but was very welcomed as MD was experiencing another HHH summer's day. I must say, however, the reason I didn't sleep... More

We wanted a place to stay just for a night on our way to Assateague and did not want to be anywhere in Ocean City. Merry Sherwood was a real find! The house is just beautiful and the family who run it are incredibly friendly and warm. It really feels like you're staying in somebody's home. It is full of... More

We really enjoyed our stay at this charming bed and breakfast. After spending the day in Ocean City, it was really nice to have a quiet and clean place to rest. When we came back from dinner, they had left out some fresh baked cookies and brownies for us to enjoy, along with bottled water on ice. We stayed in... More

This is an exceptional historic home at which to stay. Being that it is an old home it has personality that you don't get at the latest Ritz. The massive grounds are a great place to unwind that are away from the knuckleheads at Ocean City, yet close enough that if you have some unexplained need to go there, yet... More

This inn is a little piece of paradise outiside the hustle of O.C. Quite honestly we were influenced in our choice by the July 2007 review (and we aren't parents). Thanks! ------- The grounds are gorgeous. The interior is beautiful and rich in textures. Our room was immaculate, very comfortable and tastefully decorated. ---- It was fun to have a... More

I have a beach house in Ocean Pines and was hosting a surprise for my mother's birthday. My brother and sister and their families stayed with me and I needed a nice place outside of Ocean City (didn't want to deal with traffic) to put my parents in for two nights. My parents are not known to be the easiest... More

We stayed at the Merry Sherwood when it first opened. We loved it, we stayed in the honeymoon suite. We had always wanted to repeat our experience, we had fond memories. Well, so much for memories. The two people working the house and the kitchen were wonderful. If you go onto the website and view the size of the plantation... More

Beautifully and lovingly restored, this elegant Inn was a feast for the eyes! The inn keeper was friendly and knowledgable. Her breakfasts were delicious and the inn was clean and extremely well maintained. We spent a romantic, quiet and enjoyable weekend here. I highly recommend this delightful inn!
