So place looks great on the internet and is actually nice in person. But it in no way deserves the title resort and even if it did and had the greatest amenities in the RV world, it still would not be worth it because of the owner. He called the cops on us for being fifteen minutes last check out... More

This guest checked-in with a 40' Fifth wheel toy hauler, truck as well as another truck and 30' cargo trailer. He was told that he would have to put the truck and cargo trailer in our storage area. He had no problem with this and actually paid for another site to accommodate the extra vehicle and trailer. That day driving... More

We just returned from spending two weeks at the Portal RV Resort and loved it! The "resort" side of the complex is designed for big rigs which is important to us. Paved roads with nice landscaping and large, deep sites. Pool and other amenities as well. Be aware that there are two areas of this resort; one area for big... More

I read a lot of reviews on different RV parks in Moab and glad we chose Portal. After being there and seeing the other rv parks, Portal was the best fit for us. It's set further off the highway so road noise is not an issue. We had a nice sized pull through site with a shade tree. Which was... More

Good location, North end of town away from main road, so it was quiet. No loud roudy people, lots of jeeps. Nice dog park, had a laundry, cement slabs, table at every site. Had cable TV, & free WIFI. People who ran the park we nice and friendly not rude at all.

In my 16 years of being retired I have never stayed at a RV Park with worse customer service. The owner/manager was rude and unprofessional and down right offensive. When I arrived at the park with my email confirmation in hand from them they said they had lost my reservation and the park was full. When I told him I... More

Pretty good place to camp :). Close to town without being too close. Arches National Park is only five minutes away. Canyonlands is only about thirty minutes. Sites were on the small side and had no grass but that was fine with us. Very quiet place. After a long day of hiking we were ready for bed fairly early and... More

We were in a rented RV--novices in every way! This place was really clean, nice and quiet. The kids played and swam in the freshwater pond and we grilled in our slot's tidy grill next to our own built in concrete slab porch perfect for lawn chairs where you can watch sunset on Moab. 5 minutes from Arches. Everyone was... More

We stayed at the Portal in October in a class A. The park is very clean & well maintained. The staff we met were friendly. The sites are close together and are gravel with a concrete pad. The bathroom were clean. The location of this park is ideal. Close to town but not too close. We able to ride our... More

Portal RV Park's location is perfect. You are less than one mile from town and can easily ride a ride or walk if you so desire. The Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Parks are very close to Moab so this is a great central location if you want to visit the parks. There are also plenty of other attractions... More

We we're traveling from Zion to Moab and wanted to find somewhere to stay for a few nights. We stopped and talked to the guy running the information office and he recommend Portal as it is one of the few that is still open in November. When we arrived we were amazed at the views of the canyon. The park... More
