The Apache caters to those of us who don't want to pay a fortune just for a place to lay our head, and succeeds. We stayed there both before and after a backcountry trip and it was just fine. We also stayed there on a previous trip and not much has changed. Since our last stay they have added for... More

My husband and I Chose the Apache Motel from the Web. We were'nt looking for elegance but wanted nice clean place and low price. It is true John Wayne stayed in the Apache Motel while he worked in movies near by. Anyway, My husband and I spent all day in Arches Nat. Park and It was pretty hot. So, We... More

What I liked--AC unit worked better than most of the AC units I've dealt with staying in budget rooms, also good flow of hot water in the shower. What I disliked--Shower curtain was so cruddy with soap scum it was stuck to itself and stiff even when wet, and the tub appeared dirty with mildewy grout and hair in the... More

I have stayed at the Apache motel several times. I keep coming back because it is an excellent value in a town that is becoming packed with tourists staying at fancier hotels. I do not visit Moab to sit by a pool and sip a margarita, I visit to get dirty i.e. hike and go off-roading. This motel meet my... More

The "Duke" is rolling in his grave to see what has happened to his precious Apache Motel. Not worth the $70+ a night. The street is very noisy, lots of traffic, the A/C unit is loud and makes funny noises. Not to forget the wad of long hair wrapped around the bath tub drain.

Room was stinky, noy sure when the shower mat was last changed.Maybe when John Wayne was there. There were four people in the room we constantly had get a fourth towel set. The so called free wireless never worked in our and the Lipstick Wick in the offer didn't know her butt from a hole in the ground saying it was... More

We loved this place! We called in asking about a late check in, no problem, we were greeted with a smile at 9pm. Our bed was the most comfortable of the four hotel/motels we stayed on our week long trip of the southwest. The pillows were fluffy and inviting after that LONG climb to Delicate Arch. Bathroom was clean and... More

Standard motel about 10 minutes' walk from the main drag. A bit dated and a few loose screws here and there, but it was clean and the bathroom had a good shower. Cheaper than the others we tried. The manager, Barbara, was nice and chatty, but possibly not quite with it! Still, she managed to sort out a room change... More

The Apache had large roomy rooms and a pool for the family. It was one of the cheapest hotels in the area and great for the price. The breakfast was pretty pathetic though. John Wayne used to stay here. If you want to walk to downtown you may not want to stay here.

Stayed a here a couple of nights while we visited Arches National Park and Canyonlands. Cheaper than the chain motels in town with a great location; just off the main drag but close enough to walk. Ideal for restaurants in the evening. Clean rooms (stayed at the back, nice and quiet; the rooster mentioned in previous reviews must have gone!).... More
